SUPPER CLUB - Sat, March 4th
Good morning!
We are cold, but dry this morning! yesterday was a rainy, rainy day! We hit Costco and spent our rebate check from them plus a few more of our most favorite dollars. But now we are stocked up for several months. I hope.
Yesterday I started on my queen Lone Star. It's 6 fabrics plus a background fabric. I hope to get some more done on that today, plus some quilting done on the cat quilt that's on the frame.
IRISH - you had quite a day entertaining all your young men! Sorry they all had to leave, but you still have the UPS driver. You want us all to send you some packages? ;o) And doing floors nowadays with the new mops and gadgets they have have gotten me off my knees! I thought Ireland was in August, but wasn't sure I remembered correctly. WA has 'enhanced drivers' licenses. I think most of the border states do. But a passport really speeds things up when crossing borders and boarding planes.
JANA-JAQUELINE - do you like your new haircut? Hard to picture you with shorter hair! Love your Ethan stories. he's such a little character!
TINA - I'm sorry you don't realize just how pretty you are! Because it's true! Ibuprofen is metabolized in the kidneys, not the liver. Though you should always take IBU with a full glass of water just for that reason. Tylenol goes through the liver so anyone with liver issues shouldn't take that. I'm not sure about Aleve/naproxen sodium. I keep meaning to research that. But if your kidneys are OK, I'd ask your doctor if you could take IBU. It works so well! (I just took some myself!)
BECCA - your quilts sound awesome! So similar but different. I hope you are finding some relief soon for your TN.
CHICKIE - I keep meaning to make your shower cleaner (I have the recipe in the NOTES section of my phone) but I'm still looking for a good container to put it in. Soon . . . Bet You and the Hooligans (sounds like a rock band!) enjoyed that walk through your woods yesterday! I skipped my walk due to stormy weather.
CAROL - a good way to get a free TB test! Plus I'm sure you enjoyed working back in the classroom environment. Sounds like the teacher was happy to have you!
We never got to grill last night. The chicken wasn't thawed and the weather was so bad so we went with Plan B instead - poached eggs with tomatoes and avocado on the side.
Now the chicken is thawed, but tonite we have to leave about 6pm for a small wine/appetizer gathering. But usually these things end up being enough snacking to make dinner for us. And for that, I'm taking Brie and crackers and grapes. This little party is to celebrate the opening of a friend's art studio. He is a fabulous glass artist and finally got his dream studio. Just as his wife announced on FB that she is divorcing him "in the spirit of decluttering her life", and wants the house/studio/property sold immediately. So this party (I'm assuming she won't be there!) is to commemorate both the opening and closing of his beautiful new studio. Should be an interesting, if sad, evening.
I hope your supper is interesting, too, but in a different way!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, March 4th
Good Morning Everyone!
Maryz - My TB test were the results from 2015 that I did pay for myself when I was substituting. I think the only ones who get a free TB tests are full time employees.
Becca - I too am looking forward to seeing your quilts.
Chickie - I squeegee my shower off every time I use it to avoid having to clean. lol
Tina - I didn't know to take a pain killer prior to doing a lot of work either, think I will try it next time.
Knitting group this afternoon, so out to dinner tonight.
Have a great day everyone!
Carol

Hello everyone,sunny but chilly here.
Maryz That's a lousy deal for your artistic friend.Some people have no regards for others.Do hope he can do good with his art work & move on with his life.
My DBs twins were a boy & girl just like ours are.They had been trying for 11 yrs to have one.One weighed 5plus & girl was 4 plus big for Twins.All are doing well.Its his GGrands too.
Carol Teaching is never boring no matter the job.It was a challenge but I loved it just like my DD & DGD does.
Irish I hope today is calm for you & Jim.And the UPS man finds your Home.lol
Chickie I am like Maryz I have had trouble finding the right kind of bottle.Colored creates the problem & the size.But I'll find one bec I want to make my own.It works really good & saves work.Did your pain go away? I sure hope mine calms down.
Jana Enjoy all your new toys.You really do have a train family.Great they share the interest.
Tina I hope your day is a good one.You are such a giving person to everyone.Beauty comes from within.And you have that.
I have been quilting & am over 1/2 way on baby girls quilt.Also did the laundry.Going to watch a bBall game.Not my fav team.
We have leftovers from the meatloaf.Will add garden peas ,grapes & salad.DH has cream hornes . Becca

Hi everyone
)
Mary, nope I can't take ibuprofen either, it doesn't play well with my BP medicine and I have kidney stones that I take meds for everyday. The Dr has me off of everything except Tramadol which I take very sparingly, only when I really need it.
Carol, enjoy your day, sounds like a really nice one, knitting and then out to eat!
)
Becca, leftover meatloaf YUMMY! Cream horns YUMMY! Think I'll swing by your house
)
I was outside all morning then kinda lazed around early afternoon then came into my sewing room to play for awhile
) I have a small steak thawing for supper so Frankie can throw it on the grill and we'll split it and we have salad.....I'm all out of sweet potatoes so maybe we'll have an afters tonight.....not sure what
)
