I spoke with Teresa via PM as I am concerned about trimming the tabs. I am going to leave mine intact so the winners will have sufficient fabric for squaring up. I think once you cut the tabs, there is not much room left for error. Hope you all don't mind. I know for me better safe than sorry!

I am in. I found fabrics and started sewing. Warning! Find centers and pin when adding center piece to triangles. I had to un-sew, and that is NOT fun.
I will post later when I get them finished.
I pressed and pinned each at center, but should have pinned them at each end, because remember, we are sewing on the bias

Thank you Jacquie for the other video. I posted it up top for all to see so we don't loose it :) :) You are a Sweetheart!! I remember those pictures and the story! You all look so delightful. WHat a night that must have been!!!!

WELCOME VELDA - I posted the new video up top. Please let me know if you can open it. Love your fabric choices!!

WELCOME Pat!!!! Love having you with us again - ENJOY!!!

Linda - What a wonderful teacher you must have been. How brilliant that was to do for the kids. I can see the smiles even now. How sad indeed it was not carried on. I am thrilled you have those years of momories to hold dear to your heart.

YES, YES, YES!! Please fold and place a Pin on the fold to keep in place and then sew SLOWLY as you are working on the bias. If you can - lighten up your pressure foot a little to make the fabric flow smoothly under the foot but enough for it to grab.

Thank you Valerie for posting the SUGGESTION!! I did have it up top in two places but it is goo to have it here a well. What a GREAT PAL YOU ARE to think of everyone.

Thanks to all. The YouTube video was good. It plays just fine. I have had trouble with the QIAD vimeo before, so there is something about it, that my computer doesn't like. LOL

I finished 4 sets and have them ready to mail. I did trim mine, but I agree with you Valerie, there isn't much wiggle room. I had to unsew a couple of mine because when I tried to square off the corners, they didn't look even and balanced. Can't have that!!! The winner's quilt wouldn't look right.

So even though this is an easy block, we all have to pay attention to the 1/4" and centering our strip and lining up the two triangles to be balanced.

I have no memory of any St Patrick's Day events as we are not Irish and never participated in the parties and such. When in school it always was a big deal to wear the green though. And that part was always fun. St Patrick's Day for me is just another symbol of spring is just around the corner. The weather starts to get nice and the robins are back in Illinois along with the red winged black birds.

Spring is one of the best seasons of the year.

Linda - Very Very pretty green blocks arrived today along with a Stunning BeaUtiful Quilt full of Roses. WOWsers!!! As a newbie that is a great question. Now that your blocks have arrived the waiting starts for you until the last day of the month when I have everyone's blocks. As the blocks arrive I put your tickets in the bowl and wait for the Hand of the Picker (Cable guy in January) to pick the names of the winner(s). Depending on how many blocks I have received will determine how many winners we will have. We have had anywhere from 3 to 5 winners so I always know it will be FUN!!! Anticipation starts mounting NOW!!! Your Quilt will absolutely be a JOY to quilt. All those roses arranged beautifully with accent fabrics and colors will give me smiles. Thank you for joining us this month and for the delight of quilting for you :) :)

Velda - Wonderful news that you were able to watch the video and stitch up some beauties :) :) Great reminder about lining up the triangles with the center. I did plac it up top for all to see. Sounds like you and me had the same St. Patricks day. Always remembered to wear green.

Flo and Sonya - Looks like you both are on a roll - YEA!!!! Happy Stitching!!

Gardenquilter (Diane?) Glad you loved the video. Hope you might come join us for some FUN

I am off to go work on stitching up some more. I am hoping the hands of the picker will be kind to me this month. Will I have the Luck of the Irish in me :) :)
