Some of you are in their garden collection phase..

10-12 apples
1 cup water or apple juice
1/2tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Combine in crock 3-5hrs. Stir, blend mash or blender.
Makes 4 cups.. Can freeze for baking later.
Great with muffins, pork chops or even baby food.
can reduce sugar if you're diet requires.


Rasperry Pie
1 quart fresh or frozen raspberries
1 cup sugar
3tablespoon minute tapioca
Large bowl toss sugar & min. tapioca with raspberries. Let stand 15min.
while u prepare crust. Bake 350F for 35min.
Can replace with strawberries.

GREEN TONATOE PIE
4 cups sliced green tomatoes
2 lemon juice
MIX; 1 cup brown sugar
5 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Mix tomatoes into pastry shell bake till tomatoes are soft & tender.
In my attempts it tasted like rhubard pie, takes some getting used it may take a few adjusting

PEACH PRESERVES:
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 lb. ripe peaches
Wsh, peel, remove stones, cut in quarters.
Boil sugar & water 10min. Skim. Add fruit and cook quickly until
transparent. Seal in jars.


MOCK APPLE PIE
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2tsp cream tartar
1 1/2 cups of water
Boil above for 1 min. Break 18 single soda crackers in quarters. Place into and 8 or 9 inch unbaked pie crusts, pour liquid over sprinkle generously with cinnamon and dot with butter. Cover and bake
for 20 min OPTION 25 ritz.. Very good can fool anyone thinking apple pie.
