Daily Devotion 8/16

I remember as a child my mom would always tell me she knew when I was lieing; I asked her one time how. She told me that a black cross would be on my forehead when I lied. I can remember lieing then looking in a mirror; she would say only she can see it. Oh it would infuriate me that she always knew. Now that I am older I know it was never a black cross but the fact that my body language and actions were the real give away.

We expect people to be truthful with us and us with them but that is not always the way in today's society. Lies hurt, damage, and sometimes end relationships. Little white lies roll into avalanches. It is best if you cant tell the truth say nothing at all. Have you ever lied about knowing GOD? One day we will be challenged to state our faith and many will lie and reject out of fear. Are you ready to stand on the truth?

Go today speak the truth and the truth will set you free:)

God Bless
Izzy
