A Shower of Maple Leaves is finished

Remember when Bernie and I got married you girls showered us with red fat quarters. Bernie picked red and white for our wedding quilt as red and white were our wedding colors and the color of Poland. He was able too pick out the pattern and was able to see several of the blocks made. It is now finished - all 100 x 110 inches of it, all hand quilted. Thank you again for all of the love you showed us. Bernie was flabbergasted that we received FQs from all over the world. I used the left overs of the FQs to patchwork the backing.

I remember the red FQ's shower. Your quilt is so beautiful. You did great jobs!

It turned out wonderful. I love the green grass and yellow flower setting you chose for the picture.

wow that is beautiful and what a great way to always have him with you. May not be his arms hugging you but his love is in that quilt with your memories each time you wrap it around you:)
