SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, July 14th
Good early morning!
Sorry I never made it here yesterday. My computer was doing one of it's interminable updates and I gave up waiting on it. I spent most of the day in my sewing room. I got the binding and label on my Seahawk quilt and made a pair of matching pillowcases with leftover 'Hawk fabric. I think my DGS, Drew, Will be pleased. Also, we went and visited our neighbor, Vicki. She now lives in a care center only 2 miles away. She seems happy there, though she has lost her grip on reality.
I still have my sore throat/ear infection. It's being pretty stubborn. I'm about 80% better, but seem to have stalled. I REALLY hope I'm improved by Saturday because we are hosting a big BBQ for five other couples - all RV'g friends.
IRiSH - it was so good to hear from you! Glad my book has brought you a few smiles.
Last night we made a scramble for supper. But right now, the thought of eating anything isn't too enticing, so I can't even begin to get a handle on what tonite's fare might be. Maybe later today I'll come up with an idea.

Good morning from so far, very sunny and getting warm, SW. Pa....
Oh Mary, what are we going to do with you? Let's give that darn sore throat the boot, once and for all.....I'm sure Drew will be thrilled with the quilt and matching pillow cases...Always fun to make something you know they'll like.....
Today is another trip to see the "slicer and dicer" but it's just for a wound check, I hope.....I think this might be the last trip until fall when Jim is scheduled for his next all over check and then for sure, there will be more "cutting"....So after the appointment, I'd like to stop at JoAnns and then maybe I can talk Jim into lunch....Just a fun filled day we have going......
If all goes as planned, I won't be using the kitchen (fingers crossed)....
Happy eating..............
Eagle update: All the eagles in our nests around here have fledged and hopefully on their way to a long happy free life....The Ft. Myers eagle is still in rehab but getting stronger each day...The infection in the femur is gone and everyone is hoping he/she will be ready to be set free soon....The eagle sure has been a survivor!

Good morning!
Mary - I hate updates! Glad that my DH handles all of that. He has my desktop and his linked, so he can do that from his. Glad you are feeling a little better.
Irish - so happy to see you! I miss you! Hope that things go well today at the Dr.
Michael is doing better, but is a grouch! He is a lousy patient! Always fussing over something! Engineers!
Tonight's dinner will be whatever I want as he is still in the soft foods mode. I have some very yummy fresh banned (crab meat) and I think I will do a open faced sandwich on sourdough toast.
Enjoy!
Jana

Good evening!
We had a good day today—thunderstorms several times—didn’t have to water, and it wasn’t overly hot. I also didn’t have to go mow at the rental in town. It will come. Our AC guy came yesterday and back today. There is a small leak in the system someplace. He will drop back again to check before ordering a bunch of parts.
I spent my day, well as much as I could, in my sewing room working on a sew-along project I’m doing this summer with Wendy Sheppard. I finally got caught up this afternoon, but the new installment came out this morning, so I need to play catch up some more.
Irish—good luck with the S&D doc! Hope you got lunch out!!! An eagle flew over our house yesterday, and I thought of you! HUGE—the eagle, not you!!!
Mary—I know Drew will be thrilled with his quilt and pillow cases!
Jana—I’m the IT guy here. I try to keep it simple. Oh, your dinner sounds mah-vah-lous!!! I’m drooling, and I just ate!
Becca—hope you get some rain! Today was a lovely break in the heat. The humidity is what is so difficult… like trying to breathe underwater in a hot bathtub!
We had “clean out the fridge” tonight… some Oriental chicken and rice from last night and fajitas from the night before. I’ll have to cook tomorrow night.
Sorry I was so late…
