SUPPER CLUB - Friday, July 8th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jul 08, 2016 3:33 am

Good Morning!

We had light rain all evening, all night, and there will be more today. Nice! A day off yard work! Good timing because I have a massage appointment this morning and will lay low the rest of the day to let the massage do it's work. I'm making good progress outside, and hope to have gone through the entire yard (an acre) by end of next week. We are having a big yard party/BBQ with RV friends next Saturday and I'm trying to get things whipped into shape.

Supper with Warren last night was nice, but he was in a lot of back pain. I think he is slowing going downhill.

BECCA - glad you got your rain and then your errands all done. sorry there are weeds though. but if you choose to read today, the weeds will wait for you. Weeds are patient. They have nothing to do but grow! lol!

JANA - I am a believer in things happening for a reason. I hope this new house plan works out for your kids! Happy Birthday to Aaron!

TINA, CAROL, CHICKIE, IRISH - good morning to all of you!!

Speaking of new houses, last evening my 22-yr-old DGS called us and asked us to both get on speaker phone. He wanted to tell us that he had just put in an offer on a house and it was accepted! His first home. He has been saving madly for a very long time and is so excited! I wonder, though, how excited he'll be when he is faced with HIS weeds! lol!!

Tonite's supper will be spaghetti with cubed meatloaf for "meatballs". and a salad.

How's things looking in your kitchen?

Oh my I have missed checking in here:) Supper is grab and run lately around here with all the weather and water issues. But not tonight. I am headed upstairs to make homemade lasagna for my DH his fav:) I need to make the pasta noodles from scratch and the sauce woo hoo fun. First gotta clean up the kitchen to mess it back up LOL

Great use of leftover meatloaf mary:) I hardly make meatloaf anymore. When DH and I were first married all we could afford was ground beef and we ate one too many meat loafs in our first few years LOL so now just have no desire for it.

Hugs all have a great friday supper:)

Enjoy your massage Mary, glad you got rain for a relaxing day off : )
Izzy, I absolutely love lasagna!!!
Not much happening here in this heat, Frankie comes home every afternoon feeling bad; headache and nauseous from the heat, he's been having to work out in it with no shade...I feel so bad for him.
Tonight we're having bean tostadas.

Good Evening!
Tonight's supper was leftover pork chop skillet supper. I am not cooking or doing dishes these days. It is up to my DH. Tuesday, after surgery I took two tablets of Norco 6 hours apart, one each time and was sick for 24 hours and still recovering from the after effects. I finally read today that it takes from two to four days to get it out of your system. I still have another 24 hours!!

I bypass the leftover meatloaf by making small loaves and keeping in the freezer. It takes less time to cook and I only have enough left to make a couple of sandwiches!

Irish - I am thinking of you and sending prayers. I miss seeing your posts!

Carol
