SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, July 5th
Good Morning!
I can already see the difference in how light it is when I get up at 0500. It's noticably darker than it was 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure about the other end of the day. I can't seem to stay awake until dark! lol!!
I texted our Irish yesterday. Life is hard at her house these days and she's feeling a bit low. If anyone wants to send her a card or a text, send me a PM if you need her info.
VINAE - Happy Anniversary!! It's an anniversary for Bill and me, too. A July 4th (1990) party I had at my house is the day we got together as a couple (though we'd known each other for 6 months before that). Welcome to the table! you got braces?? I had a friend who got them when in her 40's. I hope you're eating real food soon!
BECCA - Unless your DGS hit the Bremerton ferry just right and didn't have to wait, and if he wanted to be in downtown Seattle with his car, then driving south around the Sound is the smart way to go. And if he wants the airport, it's south of Seattle, between Seattle and Tacoma, so it really would save him time to drive around. And when he does that, he goes within 1/4 mile (that's crow miles) of my house. I can't see Highway 16 from my house for all the trees, but I can hear it! Tell him to honk next time! lol!
JANA - yes, the Mariners won! 9-4. They even had a Grand slam in the 3rd inning. I'd like to think we brought them luck. But seems they were doing fine on their own without us! lol!
Yesterday was a solidly busy day between trailer, house, laundry, and kitchen chores. I need to sort out my back pantry (in the quilting room) and stow some things away after our Costco run the other day. If it's rainy - and it might be - I'll head for my sewing room. If not, then I'll spend a few hours in the yard and THEN go to the my sewing room.
Supper will be leftover meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salads, and biscuits. A heat 'n' eat meal!
I hope your supper is just as easy!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, July 5th
I've been a little busy doing some deep cleaning around the house, needed to take advantage while Frankie was home to help with the furniture moving and climbing on the step stool....I'm not very balanced. I used to do all this by myself but since I got hurt at work in 2008 and then the fender bender in 2013, it's not an option now, ugh. Oh well such is life.
Mary, I need to make meatloaf, it's Jazmyne's favorite and we haven't had it in a long long while.
Irish, hugs to you my friend.
I think we'll have banned food tonight with salad.

Good morning,
Been getting the uglies back under control. They were taking over - toys everywhere, so without even asking him, DH picked them all up and took back control of the great room. I gained my kitchen back. So Ethan will get to vacuum when he gets here.
I called the painter and he will come by later today or tomorrow, as his schedule permits. He doesn't have a bunch of work ahead of me, so it will be done quickly. YIPPEE!
It is still early here and I am not in the mood to cook. Michael says that mood is a dirty four letter word! LOL But, maybe I will later - there are plenty of things to make a meal out of and I have leftover macaroni salad from yesterday. I have pineapple bacon sausages in the freezer. They are from Aidell's and really good grilled.
Enjoy!

Boooo-hooo! Sob!!! I hate when the days get shorter! I stay up later rather than getting up earlier, so I put my daylight on at the end of the day. LOL!!!
My DGD went home yesterday. We had lots of art projects but no quilting projects while she was here. I have to catch up with my projects this week. So far, it’s picking blackberries for the freezer every day or making jam, putting up corn in the freezer, and cleaning floors. I still have the floors to do today as well as the blackberries. It turned HOT and steamy again with heat warnings. Aaak! I’ll be watering again. We had a couple of inches of rain on Saturday/Sunday.
Vinae—happy anniversary! July 4 was also my sister’s anniversary… 47 years ago, and I made the wedding cake! It was HOT, HOT, HOT that day, too.
This is short… need to get to either the floors or the berries. Tonight’s fare will be steak, “real” mac & cheese, corn on the cob and salad. There are also ooey-gooey cheesecake bars left from the picnic we went to yesterday.
Irish—I’m thinking of you and sending hugs and support!!! Wish I was there to lift you up!
Enjoy! Try to stay cool!!!
