Daily Devotion 6/30

My reading today goes along with this verse. It talks about Moses and when God called him from a burning bush. Moses didnt think he was worthy; now recall he grew up in Pharohs house: then lived as a shephard tending to sheep. God had him walk with the wise: under Gods leadership and not be with Pharoh and be destroyed.

We are like Moses we tend to try to better ourselves in the world "money" has become our path of fools instead of walking in the "WORD" the path of the wise. I was asked daily when I decided to retire "How can you do that at your age?" Yes, I am 48 and retired; but I have no debt. I did at one time just like everyone walk the path of "Money" I had an awesome job then I quit and went into the school system making half of what I was making to have more time with family; then I retired again taking a cut in pay. But I am happier now then ever. I have time to care for my parents; time to be the help meet for my DH who is a pastor and student and works a 50 hr week job.

I did what GOD asked me to do; not what I want to do. So as this verse states I chose to be wise and not a fool. I have time to serve my Lord and Savior and to study HIS Word.

What will you do with the time you have? Spend it with the wise or the fools of this world?

God Bless
Izzy

Izzy We all must make choices in life. You chose the right path. Most today are seeking worldly goods.I have never wanted material things.I was raised in the years after the depression & come from a large family.I am happy Ibhave always been happy with whatever I have.My DD retired early too to help her DH who was a Pastor & is now a District Superintendent over many pastors. So he needs support.
Prayers that we all seek Gods riches & not earthly goods.....Blessings to all Becca

When you follow wise counsel, it always works to your good. Knowing the difference between needs and wants, makes for a better life. Moses was taught the many things he needed to be a great leader. How to organize and lead those many out of Egypt. There have been estimates that it was close to maybe a million. The Lord will throughout our lives teach us the things we need to know and do to aid us and others. Putting in our paths people and lessons we need.
