Supper Club, Friday, June 17th

Post by auntjana » Fri Jun 17, 2016 3:53 am

Good morning -

Every time I look at the date of June, it amazes me at how fast it is flying by! Now that can be a good thing with the kids living here while their house is being built - the sooner I will have mine back! LOL They are really good about helping.

Ethan is still asleep - I will make him pancakes when he wakes up. He has already put a request for dinner - spaghetti - even when I tell him that he will have dinner at his house with his mom. He has it in his little head that he will be here for dinner anyway! Such a funny ittle boy!

So dinner might just be spaghetti - we will see.

Tina - that was a timely phone call. Glad that the title company was on top of the paperwork. A few more days is great to have the peace of mind that all is done right.

Becca - such a tragedy. My prayers are for that family.

Carol - planned days are great! Wish some of them happened more around here!

Irish - prayers that all is going well for you - you are missed at the table!

Enjoy what's at your table tonight!

Good morning from a semi sunny, semi overcast, not sure if we're getting rain or sun, today......We had big time rain yesterday, along with a light show and boomers....Even parts of the city got flooded and the big golf tournament had to be delayed......But, today is another day and we take what we get.....

So happy to see you Jana,.....I can't believe it's the middle of June already, either....I don't want summer to pass by so quickly.....

It seems strange not to have Mary here at the table...Sure hope she's having fun....
I'm waiting for my sister to call...She was bringing her car to the dealership to have it checked and that always means, breakfast or lunch and/or something in between....She's slowly getting her strength back from her latest episode in the hospital...She sure has had her share of health problems but never complains.....

So other than running, I'm not planning too much for today...If I get back early enough, I'll work outside if not, oh well, tomorrow's another day......My motto, put off today what you can do tomorrow (or the day after)....Long gone are the days when I HAD to get things done on certain days etc.

As for our dinner, that might depend on where the car takes me...Jim had mentioned roast beef from one of the local places and that is sounding better and better, so we'll see.....

You all have a great day....

Happy eating.............

Hello everyone, sunny & hot here.We did get 1/10 in of rain last nite.Grateful for very drop.

We had to get oil changed & get new license for car. Then fill up.Cars are expensive in more ways than one but we love our freedom.

Jana Your little Ethan is a sweetheart.Know he is lots of company.

Irish Hope today is a better day for you.Maybe if DS shows up it will be a brighter one.Hope she can stay well.If Jim is talking food maybe he is doing better also.

Carol Planned days are good.Lots of mine get turned upside down.

Plan to go work outside some still weeding & trimming.Wiithh any rain it makes things grow.

DH will have his bacon fix.I have ham.Hulley beans for him & broccoli for me.Cantuloupe too. Becca

Hot, hot, hot and STEAMY here! Welcome to Kansas in the summer! Tonight will be warming leftover fajitas. I'm trying to stay cool, or rather get cooled off. I brought in laundry from the lines, and I need to sweep the floors. I was a naughty girl and sewed some rows of a quilt UFO together rather than working. Must hurry and get the house looking better than it does now.

Enjoy!

Hi there! I am in winnemuca Nevada. Thought I'd check In By phone while Bill fueled up. Weather has been not awful hot but plenty warm enough. We will probably be in Oregon by tomorrow. We are on our way to our RV rally now. Good to touch bases with you all. You have become such a part of my day that I really miss you. as for supper, I guess this will be our third night of tacos. My brother Jim and Terry joined us so I made tacos for a crowd but everyone had little appetite so it left us with a mountain of fixins. Hope to be checking it more often soon. Love you all! .

Hello Everyone!
Tonight will be Stuffed Pepper Casserole.

Today, I have been working on "Young Man's Fancy" blocks. I started making these blocks last November. Believe me the blocks I finished today were much better than the blocks I finished in November. I don't think I will even be using the ones I finished first. Now I have to decide on the borders. I have lots of fabric and lots of half square triangles and strips. I am thinking of stars in the corner and making a saw tooth border surrounded by stripes. First, I must square up the blocks and sew them together. that will be next week.

Maryz - Enjoy visiting with your brothers.

Jana - Somehow I think Ethan will be a guest for dinner.

Irish - Hope your car found good roast beef sandwiches!

Becca - I had the car washed today, but need to take it in for new brakes. (Sigh) I feel your pain. If it is not one thing it's another with cars.

Farm Chick - You are a bad influence! I have been sewing instead of other work too!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Carol
