SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 31st
Good Morning!
We are having a streak of fabulous weather here. I worked outside for 3 hours yesterday and didn't even get tired or sore! I do, however, have a cold now. I don't think it's a bad one and in fact thought it was just allergies (except I don't usually have that problem) but this morning my Billiam is also sick. Neither of us have had a cold in years.
IRISH - how did the dental appt go? Did you get your pre-meds? Many folks don't realize how connected your teeth are to the rest of your body, but especially to the heart. I'm sorry your third egg seems to not be viable. But two healthy young ones is great! I am going to try dying those eggs as soon as I can find some silk ties. Another good reason to hit the thrift shops!
BECCA - I bet your foxes are cute! I've never seen foxes near us but my brother, 2 miles away, has often had them on his property. I collect foxes of most any kind and display them in our trailer because we have an Arctic Fox fifth wheel.
CHICKIE - there seems to be a mom-look-alike living in my mirror, too! And when DH gets lost in Home Depot and I go hunting for him, all I see is this old man down an aisle, and then when he turns around - yikes!! It's MY old man!! Love your hooligan stories! At least rolling in nasty is the one and only gross thing Scottie hasn't done - yet. If he finds something icky he prefers to EAT it!
LADY CAROL - sounds like your F.A.R.T. was productive! Let the sewing commence!
JANA - you cracked me up wanting to add one more project to your on-going list just to overwhelm yourself! I am working on a quilt right now that is from a 2007 magazine that IRISH sent to me last year. "Buds in Bloom" made with 30's repro fabrics.
CAROL - I am betting that somewhere yesterday, you managed to fit some supper in!
We have good friends, Gus & Claudia, who are always up for something impromptu so we have an occasional standing date to meet at a nearby Mexican restaurant at 4pm for happy hour margaritas and a light supper. So my pork chops never made it into the oven yesterday. But I think today will be their day - and it's supposed to be in the 70's, so I believe we'll grill them, along with potato halves. And I'll make a salad. We'll probably even be able to eat out on the deck tonite!
and what can I get for you? . . .

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 31st
Good morning from sort of still chilly, rainy, dreary, stay in the house, day in Sw. Pa....We have a nice day or so and then get this crap and it feels twice as chilly...Guess I'm back to the sweats today.....
Mary, Glad to see you were able to find something in those magazines and will be looking for a picture when you're done...Margaritas with an s, I had 1 with Cindy the other day and almost knocked me for a loop but oh so good...Cindy also makes a slush that is extra good, especially sitting around the pool on a hot day....Yes, I did get my pre-meds, on the way to the dentist..But, I figured, Jim would be 1st. and that way, the pills would have time to do whatever pills are supposed to do....But, out visit was a painful one, not only in $$$$. Jim had a tooth that had to come out and he was like a brave little soldier...I needed a filling replaced and I'm not so brave and doc knows it but we both survived..Cleaning will be next week..
Becca, Fox are a pretty animal but can be a little dangerous....I should be collecting them, my maiden name was Fox, so if and when you see a grey fox, that could be me, lol.....
Chickie, I also have that old woman in the mirror and it is my Mom...More and more I'm looking like her which is a good thing...Love the stories about the hooligans...
Today I need to find something productive to do..Did get all the bedding washed and put away and bedrooms are all back to order...I'll bet if I think hard enough, I could probably find something to play with in the sewing room.....
As for dinner, I think the stuffed peppers might do it tonight...Either that or the last of the ham with scalloped potatoes...Too early to decide....
Happy eating.............

Hello everyone,Cloudy with showers today. And lots of wind.
Maryz Hope the cold is short lived.
Irsih Glad you got the Meds in time.So important.Yes all wild animals are dangerous I think. That is the reason for wild in their name.Never know what they may do.Our foxes are coming at dusk righ along edge of woods. As their mane implies they are sly. They are always trotting along.I like to see them do that.
Lady Carol You made out on that trip.Glad you found so many treasures.
Chickie That older lady is in my mirror every day.Ugh!.Love the stories of your holligans.
And your ducks on the pond sounds nice.
Got the groceries & errands done.Waiting for mail & hope my sock monkey socks come today.Want to get 2 made before the little ones come next week.Did I tell you we are excited!!! And DGS gets home Sat nite from Army.Cannot wait to see him & get a hug.
Oh but we have to eat yet again. For me a salad with grilled chicken Brest on top.
DH has roast beef I got in deli. Will add a side & I got him a giant donut. Becca

Becca, no, she already has her Masters. Here you are required too get a Masters within 7 years of starting to teach(she did hers in her 2nd year) and it's only about a $2000 raise but the dossier they were being wishy washy on and finally gave her the go ahead, it usually takes an entire year to do, they gave her a month. She's been working on it every spare minute since then, even had to take a couple days off at the school for it.....she was at school just not in her class room. This is supposed to give her a $10,000 raise and they really make a person work for it..... she's 1 of 2 maybe 3 in the whole district that is certified earthly childhood development, we're very proud of her.

Tina I never heard of certified earthly childhood development. My DD & DGD had several other degrees like AIG & certified reading specialist & special needs children. Is that for your State only? I am just curious. So happy for her.Know that raise will be a blessing. Becca

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 31st
Mom is definitely looking back at me. Sometimes I even see parts if my Grandma's face. It's actually interesting after I get past the gray hair and wrinkles.
We had the chicken vegetable soup last night, and DH loved it! I knew with "biscuits" swimming on top he couldn't resist. I had the rest of it tonight... only 2 bites of dumplings, and DH had steak and potato.
There were storms in the area last night, and after the lights flickered once, my Internet went out. I had to make a trip to town to get a new power supply after analyzing the problem. Of course, the Hooligans made the trip. We missed all the bad storms and almost all the rain.

Becca, hmmmmmm I'm not sure if it's just in NM or not, I just thought it was everywhere.
