Supper club, Feb. 26th, Friday.......

Post by Irishgram » Fri Feb 26, 2016 6:03 am

Good late morning from a kind of wintery SW. Pa...When I woke up, the sun was shinning and the birds were singing BUT, now it's snowing and the birds are hiding....Hopefully, this won't last long, it is to warm up for the weekend.....

Well, here it is almost lunch time and no one at the table...And then I noticed, I didn't make it yesterday....See what happens when our Queen is away????

But, yesterday was a busy day...Baby Girl had an appointment with the Vet and it might not take that long but it's very emotional...She doesn't care for the carrier, to say the least, and cried the whole way there, which only took 7 minutes, lol....Our Vet has to be the gentlest animal person I've ever been around and actually loves what he's doing..And of course makes a big fuss over Baby Girl and told us, silver cats are his favorites...but, I do have a feeling, any animal he's treating is his favorite, lol...She's been very itcy and he's hoping it's seasonal allergies and gave her a shot, which hurt me more than her...She didn't even flinch..I told him, I'd like him to do my shots when I need them...But, she survived the trip, even when a huge great Dane wanted to be friends and gave her a kiss...After we got home, she wouldn't leave me out of her sight...So not too much got done but I got a lot of kitty kisses and hugs....

Today is a stay at home day, for sure...)Well, if someone calls and wants to do a late lunch, I might have to think about it)...Our lunch the other day was great and we will go back for more....
I'm thinking of starting on closets and the one in the dining room is so full of junk, it might take me more than a day...Hopefully, I'll find a hidden treasure but with my luck, it's all junk!

For tonight's dinner, it's going to be another forbidden food....Not sure just yet but there are so many Friday night specials going on, I'm sure we'll find something......

So, any specials going on in your kitchen????

Happy eating..............

Oh boy! This is Lent, and it's time to meet our friends at their parish hall for one of the annual Friday night f**h and s****p extravaganzas! Another couple will join us this year as well. Party on!!! It doesn't get too much better than this for eating dinner.

Enjoy!

Irish--hope Baby Girl feels better after her shot! Give her a big hug or treat from me!

Becca--I haven't heard anything about what's happening or if he got an interview. I would be so devastated... Glad you are safe, too!

Abita--glad to hear you are all safe!

Good Evening All.....no rain.....no wind.....but its Brass Monkey weather now......like a proper winter.....

well.....yesterday was a lost day.....I have a blocked ear.....yes I know.....think I should change my name....have been using ear drops.....they haven't helped at all.....so....after a week of not hearing properly......tried to get surgery appointment.....full.....go to a walk in clinic....they don't have the right equipement....go home....later go to A&E at the local hospital.....the nurse takes all particulars.....but cannot treat....come back with an appointment at my drs surgey....they will see me in an hour.....but they are full....no says nurse....they will see you in one hour.....charge back home and down to surgery....see dr. no infection I am told....I know that.....just want it unblocked.......no treatment....hold your nose and blow hard.....that might work.......my whole day is lost and wasted.....and.......I still have a blocked bl...y ear......

luckily.....it was the day for the Fish and Chip van.....so I didn't have to cook......and.....I hope you all had a more fruitful day than I had......went to bed early.....with a book.....a murder book.....

Good afternoon,

The family will all be here for dinner tonight. Pot roast, gravy, rice and potatoes, broccoli. Some like rice, some like potatoes, hence both. Afters are cookies, etc. My niece is gluten intolerant, so I have tweaked the recipes.

DS 4 had to work the road closures here in SLC today. The Vice President of the United States was here to visit, up at the Huntsman Cancer Center. Caused tons of traffic headaches for all. Because of that, we put off dinner and the family pic for just a little later today.

So off to sweep and get ready for the invasion of the grands!

Enjoy,
Jana
