SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Jan 31st

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jan 31, 2016 3:58 am

Good Morning!

All the family is in town and most were at our house last night for a pizza party. Good to see everyone! Today is a full family gathering at noon at my brother's house. I'll be taking a turkey breast, baked beans, and deviled eggs. Everyone is bringing other side dishes. We'll rock the house - for a few hours anyway.

Can't talk today as everyone is up and trying to talk to me, and probably won't be here tomorrow either. We'll be leaving the house for the hospital about 5:30 But might be able to check in by phone through the day.

Love you all!

Good morning! I had a fun day yesterday with DD and family. DSIL brought his sawmill on a trailer, and DH, DSIL and DGS did all the work. There was a steady stream of visitors all day to watch it. We should have set DGD up at the gate with an admissions box and a lemonade stand! All the boards are now cut and drying—all the cedar needed for my wall project as well as a pine log and a walnut log. Now I’m thinking of projects…

We girls stayed in and visited with occasional walks out to where the work was happening for progress checks. We also directed traffic inside the house with everyone coming to see the project wall as it looks now. The bookcase is finished and the wall is partially paneled with the cedar. I’m loving it!

Last night we all went out to dinner and had a super time—sirloin tips, boiled and fried crustaceans, and a hamburger with salads and sides! We even have leftovers for dinner tonight!

Since I didn’t get to see Mom yesterday or get groceries, I’ll do that this afternoon and take mom a half of a baked potato and some sirloin tips for her supper. I think she will enjoy that!

Mary—I heard your coffee pot quit. Thankfully, I have a back-up. Check out Amazon for the model you liked then keep the new one for emergencies. You don’t want to be around me if I don’t get my coffee!

Have a great visit with your family!!! We understand if you don’t have time to talk with us! We are your “other” family! May The Force be with you and your family!!! HUGS!!!

Good Morning!
Maryz - I would think you might forget all the troubles with all your relatives around! Sounds like you are enjoying the visit! Well wishes and prayers for your DB.

Chickie - You sound like you had a good visit with family as well.

Tonight's dinner will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes, a vegetable and salad. It is rainy here today. The main portion to arrive late morning-early afternoon. We should get about 1/2 inch of rain.

Good morning,

Off to church in a minute or so. Dinner will be tacos. Ethan will be here for dinner. His parents have orchestra/choir performance practice tonight. Afters will be brownies and ice cream. Matt's tribe is bringing those

Mary - lots of prayers for a good outcome tomorrow. We will hold down the fort.

Chickie - enjoy your visit with mom today. What a treasure to have her.

Carol - your rain will reach me tomorrow. We are getting storms from the south as well as the north. Thanks for that!

Enjoy,
Jana

I'm finally making it here :-)
Mary, enjoy your visit, I'll be keeping your brother in my prayers, positive thoughts for you all.
Chickie, you day sounds wonderful!
Jana, Ethan is a good helper :-)

I'm exhausted, it was a stressful day yesterday and I got all except 2 ISBS sets going out in the morning :-) as soon as I hear from the last 2 I'll get those out too :-)

Frankie cooked burgers on the grill and opened a can of pork n beans, it was very yummy :-) I really should be cleaning my kitchen but I can't talk my feet into getting up again LOL
