Ok, I give! What's a clapper? Only one I know is one you clap your hands and your keys make noise so you can find them.

Valerie... lol! A clapper is a piece of wood that you use to set the seam flat after steam pressing it. It sucks out the extra moisture and makes a super flat seam. Look one up on Nancy's Notions. She uses one sometimes on her show, and Angela uses one on "It's Sew Easy" for garment construction/tailoring on a PBS show. I remember the clapper ads on tv.

THANKS Lori for the update on mailing. Excited to see them in person
Valerie and Miriam w when you mention clapper I think of the 2 suction cups the hospital gave me to pound on Rob's back to loosen up the fluid in his lungs so he can breathe better. Made me giggle as the nurses and I made it very humorous with the different ways I could do it.
I like the idea of a cutting board. Good thoughts about not wanting to warp your rulers.
I need to do a little cleaning in the sewing room today so I can organize and get the rest of my blocks finished this weekend. Rob will be busy falling asleep while he watches the Daytona race and the truck race. NASCAR time begins!!!!!

Wonderful news Valerie- great to talk to you on the phone. I have a better idea of what you do just listening to out home health nurse. She is a character and really brightens up the day plus has lots of tips that are very helpful as I am sure you do also with your patients.
I made the Double Irish Chain and a block that Lori made in the R-W-B Swap. Don't know the name. I just copied it with our colors. Looks awesome if I do say so

More NASCAR so I am back to sewing.
Happy weekend to you all!!

Teresa: what ever you decide is fine with me. I am sure we will all support you for which ever you decide. Two ... or Three ... ???
10 is an even number, but a fine quilt can be made with 7 or siz blocks just as well. We will happy dance for who ever is winners.
Soon we will all be gearing up for the next month. I see that you have the Garden Walk picked for next month. Off to choose some pretty spring small print pastels.
I need to get started on mine, as I will be thinking about packing up to move back to Illinois at the end of March.
Hugs to all.
