SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Nov 30th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:23 am

Good Morning!

Last day of November. This year completely whizzed by me! Maybe because we did a lot of traveling this year. Maybe because I'm older. Or just maybe time really IS speeding up!

Yesterday I made 6-inch friendship star blocks for the corners of Warren's quilt. Then we went to breakfast with my DB and SIL before heading out to a tree farm to cut a beautiful 7-foot noble fir. Can't wait to put it up, but for now it's sitting in water outside, drinking it's fill. I named it Steve. A new tradition in our house is to name our Christmas trees. I also go started on wrapping gifts, did a few uglies, and cheered my Seahawks to victory. Thought of you, Irish, as that score whipped back and forth. Then we watched a Christmas movie, then the last of the Denver game - another squeaker. I went to bed exhausted!

BECCA - I think I saw that your Panthers kept their winning streak intact! They already beat up our 'Hawks this year.

JANA - did you get all the baby sewing done? Any sign of the baby yet?

CHICKIE - your list sounds do-able if it just weren't for all those other things that are MUST-do-able. like cooking, laundry, and dog loving. But we have faith in you!

TINA - my oldest DD's texts are often confusing, too. She inherited that from my dad, I think. He didn't text, but he liked to be cryptic and let you figure out what he was saying. Sometimes, it took me YEARS to catch on to something he said!

IRISH - that was a good game 'we' had, wasn't it! I never saw a score bounce back and forth like that! I'm glad you were happy with the outcome. So, at some point Vick will leave the team. Will you go back to rooting for them then? lol!

Our leftovers are winding down. I think we have a few ham slices left so I will fry them tonite with sweet potatoes and a veggie of some sort. If we get to costco today, it will be salad. If not, maybe a little purple cabbage slaw and sliced tomato. We are down to stems and seeds on produce.

Are you still working on leftovers or are you starting new food tonite?

Good morning!

Well, no word on baby yet. She is due on the 5th of December. No I didn't get to sew . Christmas exploded yesterday. Aaron and family came to do laundry and they got out part of my decorations. His real motive was to set up the train, but you have to put up other things first. Now I have to clean up and get it ready for tonight when Matt and family will be here for dinner. They will help finish.

Dinner is noodles- they are all chomping at the bit for them.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good late morning from a semi sunny, but chilly, SW. Pa....I did poke my nose outside to feed "Jake" our feral and it didn't seem too bad but my nose was only out for a couple of minutes, lol.....

Mary, I did enjoy our game...Kathy and I both were surprised that is was so close....But, it was a good one! And if and when Vick is gone, the Steelers are going to have to do something extra special to win back my support..I think, they've lost a lot of fans over that "jerk"....
Mary, been thinking of you and Autumn, hoping for some good news....

Becca, if you're on your way to Jana's pick me up...Home made noodles, boy that would taste good....Glad to hear you're out and about even if it's to get shots, ouch...

Jana, you know those babies! But isn't is exciting waiting for that miracle? You know, you'll have extra company coming from the east, make lots of noodles.....

I guess my house is back to normal, if I can use that word....Did have a message from Terry and last night was the 1st night in his new place..She wouldn't leave the house, so Terry moved in with a buddy and Nick is with her along with the dogs...Nick will be the one doing everything, which gets me going and she has threatened to get rid of the dogs...More and more, I'm discovering this gal is really evil, which is a terrible thing to even think....I just hope and pray, Terry and the boys will be OK and I do hope she moves on with her life....

today is laundry, sorting Christmas fabric for a friend to make some of those ornaments and just piddling around.....

Cleaning out the fridge, so dinner could be an interesting scrambler....Not finding any goodies but trying not to bake for a couple of days......I think Jim will survive.......

Happy eating................

Brisket in the oven... low and slow. We will be eating on it for ages. It didn't look that big in the meat case!

DH came back from coffee and thought I was wearing a new perfume... it was the brisket. What a guy. I can just dab bacon grease behind my ears...

P.S. Delicious! We had salads and scalloped potatoes with broccoli (one dish--had to get veggies in for DH!) and the last of the pumpkin pie.

I just got the phone call - baby girl, Karli will be here in a few hours. More likely, tomorrow sometime.
