SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov. 19th
Good morning!
I was up reading for almost two hours last night, so slept a little late this morning. Now I have to put some hustle in my bustle!
If it's dry today, we might do a little yard clean up from the storm.
I had a message from LADY CAROL. She has been busy, but is well. She's been blocked from QIAD every time she tries to post. and then we all know QIAD's site has been a bit funky lately.
And I had a message from IRISH. She felt well enough to go with Jim to the hardware store for a part for something, but it exhausted her. Felt good to get out, but she's back resting again now.
BECCA - the area where your DGS lives is always windier and snowier and rainier than we are, even though it's only about an 80-min drive from us.
TINA - that is how my insurance works, too. They take my money and then pay for nothing until my $6,000 deductible is met. So, the upshot is I don't go unless I'm REALLY sick. One perk to getting older is Medicare - which for me kicks in in 3-1/2 months.
CHICKIE - Boomer's toys sound like a great idea for using up batting scraps! I save all my scraps from 1-1/4" up, but everything else goes into my fabric waste basket to be used for dog bed stuffing, toys, package packing, etc.
JANA - lol! Your DH took you for "a ride" - big Sunday entertainment when I was a kid! "clams" goes onto the quilt frame today. Bill promised. Of course, he promised yesterday, too, but then a nap attack overcame him - for THREE HOURS!
We are running low on our soup after two nights, so I think I'll finally have that meatloaf I've been talking about. I lost it deep in the freezer, but then found it again! Baked potatoes and cooked carrots mixed with turnip will finish off our meal. and I have one tomato left that is on life support now, so I think I'll also slice that up.
Hope you all can find something tasty for tonite!

We need to get the leaf blower out here too after all this wind!
This site is bonkers lately, they said it would be all fixed in an hour when I called Tuesday, I'm hoping they're still working on it.
Tonight is leftover soup
I have things to do after the boys go home so that's easy for me
Glad to hear Irish is getting better

Hello all,Sunny day here & 63 after hard rain all day yesterday & last nite,
This site has been giving me fits if I try anything.Hope it gets fixed.
Maryz I tried to send a PM but no go.Mailed the pattern today. That is like us & Asheville. Our weather is totally different too & they are 80 miles away.Lots more wind & storms over there.
Irish Sure glad you are mending.Always good to see new scenery.
Tina If your little ones are like some of ours they keep you hoping.Tallulah is so different from Sawyer. He is real quiet & she has to check things out even if it means getting a lump on head.
It will be roasted chicken breast,Roasted asparagus,& potatoes roasted also.I love oven meals.Kind of like not cooking.lol. Becca
Lady Carol Glad you are ok.Had been wondering about you.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov. 19th
I'm baking chocolate cookies for DH for "afters" (if any are left), and making DGD's big cookie to take tomorrow. Need to think of something for "befores" (main course?)... there is soup for me and pizza for DH, but I don't think he'd be really interested. There's a lasagna in the freezer. That sounds like a winner. I have salad ingredients.
MaryZ--I thought about you when I saw the Spokane storms on the news. Those poor people!!! How is the big tree in your next door yard? Boomer is loving his fleece/batting toy. What a funny little doggie!
Need to get busy...
