SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Nov 16th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Nov 16, 2015 4:45 am

Good morning!

Good news! Only 36 more sleeps until the days start getting longer again!

Today is ugly day here. Laundry, vacuuming, mopping - the whole enchilada! (well, this IS a foody thread, after all!) And when all is done, I will treat myself to a little sewing time.

TINA - glad you are improving!

CHICKIE - How are you coming with your Christmas sewing list? Maybe you'd have more time if Doyal took over the cooking . . . . haha! I can't keep a straight face, even from here! sorry. ;o)

I'm hoping Irish is improving. I haven't heard any more from her since my last report.

I ended up making homemade pizza and taking it to DD's last night for the game. We brought some home and it will make a nice ready-made supper for tonite. Voila`! no cooking for me!

Don't you just love ready-made suppers!

I do love ready made suppers Mary :o) I wish I had a cook! LOL Did your Seahawks win? Frankie's Broncos laid down and died to the worst team in the NFL, says he LOL
Irish, I sure hope you're getting better! Prayers for you.
I'm not sure what's for supper tonight, maybe burgers on the grill and salad.

Irish just texted me. She did finally turn a corner - a good one! Her throat is less sore and there aren't so many "weird noises" in her chest. and the doc liked her flannel pj's! She sends thanks for all the cyber hugs and chicken soup sent her way!

Tina, our 'Hawks didn't fare much better. But we did score some points at least, and were actually ahead at one point with 6 min. left in the game. But alas, we blew it. Our Legion of Boom just seems to have no boom this season. Insert sad face here.

Good morning!

It is snowing outside right now - lightly and probably won't stick - that's not wishful thinking, it is too warm for snow right now.

Yesterday was a good day - My 49ers didn't lose - well, they didn't play either! LOL

I made a huge pot of minestrone soup - we will be eating on that for a very long time! Kind of got away from me! LOL

Glad to read that Irish turned the right corner! Continued wishes for getting better!

So my dinner is planned and cooked - leftovers - until the millenium!

Enjoy
Jana

Oh, Mary! I don't think anyone wants DH's cooking!!! I heard horror stories of his batchin' days. I'm doomed to be the cook, dishwasher, etc. It's probably safer for all of us.

Tonight will be taco soup. I made a HUGE pot last night, so it will serve a couple more dinners. It's really yummy, and today is another gloomy, dark and damp day.

36 more sleeps... YIKES!!! I'm coming along with my sewing, but I can always use MORE time!!! Eventually I'll get it finished... hopefully just in time... Then it will be my Sunbonnet Sues!

The dogs and I have walked down to Ava's and then on to Maggie's (grand dog)--needed to make sure Maggie's mom returned last night or if I had a really mad Maggie. DDIL had been home, so all was good. I gave Maggie lots of love and then we walked home. We had almost 2 miles before we, well I made it back. I still haven't seen my dogs. I left them at the "warehouse"/storage building barking their heads off. I'm sure they had some varmint cornered... It would be a good thing for all of us if it was not a skunk!!! I'm headed to my sewing room...
