Thanks, Teresa, for continuing to host. I keep thinking you're gonna get tired of our sometimes nuttiness (I'm specifically talking about me)! But you keep on even when I know you are not having a great day/month. Things happen and I appreciate your attitude when things don't go our way. I work full time and dream of being home sewing/quilting most days while at work. The block lotto makes me get into my sewing room and actually accomplish something even when I'm tired from working.
I like everyone else's suggestions. I'll try to think of more blocks.
One suggestion: Fancy Heart pattern for Valentines Day.
Love Dresden plate.
Thanks for the reminder on the rules, too.

DEBBIE - I love that fancy heart pattern! Valentines Day was the specific holiday I had in my mind, too. I have no Valentine anything. There is also a nice log cabin heart in Eleanor's Still Stripping book. Either one would be fun to do!

Mary z, I had forgotten about the Log Cabin Heart from El's book Still Stripping. I'd like to do that one too. I don't have anything for Valentines Day, either.

Hi Teresa,
Love all the new ideals. I'm like others some times. Snowed under and I hope to have some projects done before starting any new ones. Three quilts sewn would be great. I have most of my small projects done and scrapes of fabric organized. Deep cleaned my sewing room for my quilt frame. Yea!! I hope to join in on some swapes next year.
Thanks for being a great hostess.

Great ideas. Wonderful to see many have the same thoughts as I do. I was planning on making the Heart Block this coming year along with a Dresdan. I have made a list of all your ideas and posted it on my wall so I have it handy when choosing the next block to make
I am very eager for this new year and what it will bring! Many wonderfully creative quilts made by a terrific group of Pals!!!
Can't get any better than that

Teresa:
You are the Greatest! I love doing Lotto. When I do not join in a given month, it is usually, that I do not have the stash to "pull" from. Living full time, in RV with limited space makes me so concerned about too much fabric on hand.
I love all the ideas given. presently healing from broken bone in my left hand, I do not know when I can get back to sewing and quilting.
I appreciate you as hostess and please keep doing what you do so well!!
I am hoping to join in again as soon as I can.
I keep a watch on this thread, even when I can not join in on one month or another. Hugs to all of you. I have been lucky several times and find that everyone makes really nice blocks. It is appreciated to have correct size blocks.
Only suggestion I can give is this. If you would like to make an extra block for your self, to make a Lotto quilt for yourself at the year end, it would be nice to have blocks of equal size.
The very first year that I joined Lotto, I had that very same plan, but some months were larger, or smaller, and, I never did make the quilt I had planned, because of that. If the blocks were all the same size, it would be nicer for a project like that, (making a Year-end Lotto Quilt 2016)???
Love all you friends.
Vel
PS: hope my hand begins to heal quicker.

A little random idea...
I personally make Teresa a 6.5" block as 'THANK YOU' for being a wonderful host for that month that I join... Normally it is something to do with the theme for that months lotto...
It may be a nice idea if everyone who joins the lotto for that month makes and adds a 6.5" block to the blocks she is sending in, then all those lovely little blocks could be an additional win for some lucky lady??
Just a thought...

Velda... You are so sweet. Thank you for the kind words. Everyone has been so positive and gracious. I love the Lotto and I always try to make it fun for everyone.
Thank you for your suggestions. I will endeavor to remember it all.
Jacquie... I always love the feeling of exciting wondering what 6.5" block you will send me. I was just telling Ysabel that we need to get them out and play with them again. A great suggestion to give as an option. I like it along with all the other ones.
Happy weekend!!
