Fall Memory: I'm not a huge football fan but I was in the marching band in high school and so I attended every Friday Night Football game during 4 years of high school. Now that I am married to a huge sports nut, when Labor Day comes, it signals the start of NCAA and NFL games. In recent years, it hasn't been cold enough in September but in years past, I loved cooking a nice soup in the evening, having a fire in the fireplace (I'm crazy about a cozy fire in the fireplace), and listening to Football as I cook in the kitchen. Football is my signal that Summer has ended and Fall has begun.

Today, I am packing way all my Fall Décor and getting ready to put out the Christmas Decorations. Hubby put up the Christmas lights yesterday and is cleaning the gutters today to prepare for El Nino. I pray that we get rain but a nice steady slow rain would be most preferred.

Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving shared with friends, neighbors, and loved ones. I'm thankful for all my online quilting friends. No one understands my quilting/fabric obsession like you do!

Debbie

Wonderful Fall Memory Debbie! I could envision the cooking and the football and the cozy fireplace - sighhhhhhhhh

One of my favorite times in the fall was when I was a youngster living in New York City. The Guggenheim Museum was on the corner of East 89th St. and we lived on the corner of E. 88th St. There was an entrance to the Park and we would go roller skating over to the ramp of the museum and then into the park. The horse drawn carriages were out taking people for rides enjoying the fall colors. Then we would always stop to pick up some Chestnuts from the street vendors on the way home. Was a FUN time for a child.

We adopted a 1-1.5yr old kitten last friday so we are waiting just a bit to see how she does and where her favorite spots are before we put up the tree. We are going to string white dainty rope lights around the edge of the ceiling so I can enjoy lights more. Rob turns on the outside lights but then shuts the curtains and I can't see them - so this is the next best thing :)

Ysabel is working on her last block. She lives down the street from me so I will get together with her and then we will pull the names of the Winners - YEA!!!

Teresa, How wonderful you grew up in NYC. I've visited a couple of times and loved it. I always thought it would be fun to spend a year living in NYC.

I can't believe I won! I have extra sewing novelty fabric left so I can make extra blocks if needed. Can't wait to see them.

Hugs! Debbie

The blocks arrived but I've been so busy with Christmas preparations, not time for the computer. They are all beautiful and I will take pics as soon as my phone stops acting up.

Debbie I know exactly how you feel about the phone and the busyness of the Holiday. Very happy to hear you received the blocks. Ysabel and I have lots more fabric picked out to make more after the holidays. If you have even a little bit of our excitement I know you will have LOADS OF FUN stitching yours together. Can't wait to see the new blocks you make with the extra center fabrics we picked out for you!!!

Merry Christmas!!!
