Supper club, Tuesday, Oct. 6th........

Post by Irishgram » Tue Oct 06, 2015 6:33 am

Holy Moly, here it is Tuesday and no one has eaten since Sunday....You gals must be really hungry!

It's a semi sunny, not real bad, temp wise, probably going to about 75 so, I guess no complaints from me....Other than, the windows are dirty, the yard work needs finished and on and on and on, lol.....

But, we're into Fall and the leaves are starting to turn and it's going to be gorgeous....My burning bushes are starting to get red and hopefully will be all colored before we get a frost....

And speaking of dirty windows, that's on the agenda...Washed the fall/winter kitchen curtains yesterday and hopefully, if I don't fall off the ladder, those will be up soon...I'm still in love with my new windows, so easy to clean...

Talked to Kathy last night and she is as bubbly as ever...Just listening to her makes me smile...

Chickie, I did want to tell you, I did notice the stamp...Hopefully, the Pirates will play now as they did back in the days of Stargell...We start the playoffs tomorrow night against the Cubs with home field advantage.....

Along with the windows, not much else is happening in this household..We have a super nice young fellow who visits with Jim every once in awhile and he said, he'd like to stop over later today....He's always ready to pitch in and help with little jobs so I think Jim might have his list ready....

As far as dinner......I was busy in the kitchen yesterday, making chicken pot pie and another apple pie so tonight will be a repeat...Always good to not have to spend too much time over a hot stove, lol......

What's going on your table tonight? I need some ideas for the rest of the week......

Happy eating....................

News from the Florida eagle nest is that Harriet might have a new suitor....It's only been a week since Ozzie passed away but she hadn't seen him for almost a month and is probably so confused...But, it's their nature to produce and hopefully, this new suitor will be as good a provider as Ozzie and they will eventually have a nest full....Such drama!

Hello after a long absence.First day I have felt up to doing anything. We have a gorgeous. Fall day after 3 days of rain.Really bad other places but we were spared.

Irish Those windows are easy to wash but it is still a chore I put off.It is time for those stinking bugs if we get them this year. They really do a number on the Windows.

I got the Mtn climbed ,& beds dressed again.Went outside just to get out of house.Made me want to do yard work but I know better.

Have black beans ready to Coke. Will add bed of rice with scallions on top.Have some ginger cookies DD gave us.Yesterday was her Birthday. She is a real jewel.

Irish Your family is blessed with Kathy....Becca

Good afternoon! Irish—so glad you set the table for us! And, I’m glad you saw the Stargell stamp—maybe he will bring his luck to the Pirates. So the Cubs made the playoffs—amazing! A few of the maple leaves are starting to turn here. I noticed some on the ground as I was walking with the dogs earlier. How nice to have a friend who pitches in to help! I’m sure you know how to treat him with yummy goods! Oh, such eagle drama!!! It’s like a soap opera with the suitors and fighting and babies—LOL!

Dinner here… I really need to cook something. I have some Polish sausage in the fridge that I should put some red beans-rice-lentils-quinoa and Cajun spices with and add a salad then call it good. I’m never one to want to labor over a stove, either! I like to make enough for at least a couple of meals.

Becca—I’m putting off my windows! I love ginger cookies. Now, those I’d labor for… maybe later this week and take some to Mom on Saturday. Hope you are on the mend! Glad you didn’t have the floods—those are terrible.

Enjoy!
