I have all mine cut, 4 Patches made and ready to sew all into complete blocks. Plus I have my Bonus block made. Will post a picture when I am on my laptop. Right now I am on my Kindle

Velda - Yes I see in the picture of the quilt that it looks like a couple of the blocks have the square the same color as the 4-patch. For the majority though they have used different colors to give it the jewel affect which is why I lOVE THIS PATTERN.
If you are short on colors and then I will give you the option to sew the black sections to the colors and pin them together. This way they have the flexibility to be added to a different colorwave by the WINNERS (which YES I am hoping to be a winner of this one) I don't want you to have to buy more fabric BUT any reason to pick up one more color is a GREAT REASON

Make sure when you sew the pieces of the block together that the color in the 4-patch is touching the color of the square as in my sample block.

stopped at joanns on way to pick up my sewing machine from repair shop. found nice black kona remnant and 'pomegranate' kona remnant half price. feels like i hit the jackpot! marcia

Hi everyone.
I finally got a day to work on the Lotto Blocks. I have six blocks ready to mail.

I have to share my other experience. I found a patten of Eleanor's that I was going to make for the "extra" block. I knew I would have to change the size, but was a little unsure about how to do the math for that. So I just did an experiment and hoped for the best.

Wow, when I finished I had a block of about 17 - 17 1/2 inches. Oops!!!
That block went into a pile for "orphan" blocks. Someday, somehow, it will get used. LOL

So back to the starting gate. I finally, just kinda made my own idea and took 2 1/2 strips sewn together (left overs from the Lotto project) Cut them to 4 1/2 in squares. Had to make a few more to fill up my block size. Had to sew them together like a nine patch and WOW, it turned out pretty neat.

So I have 6 blocks for Lotto and 1 "xtra".

I have to get an envelope ready and get them in the mail tomorrow or when we get into town the next time.
