SUPPER CLUB - Wed, May 20th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed May 20, 2015 5:21 am

Aaahhhhh . . . . Today is massage day! After all that yard work, my arms go numb when I sit or lay down and I have a sore muscle above the back of my knee. My guy will fix all that! and it's a good excuse to lay low for a few days and skip the uglies!

JOANNE - I know you're happy with the DWTS results! I actually voted for Riker, but those last couple of performances, Rumer's grace and perfection won me over. I was glad she won. Besides, who doesn't love her daddy!!

GENERAL LADY CAROL - you are indeed full of information! We could add more to your title, but I already have to use my CAPS LOCK key to type your name as it is!

CHICKIE - I'm so happy to say that we have little in the way of tick problems here. Or mosquitos. Or snakes or scorpions. We do have black widow and brown recluse spiders, but I've never seen one. however, my DD's MIL was bitten by a brownie and had nasty tissue damage on half of her leg.

IRISH - now you are making ME tired with all your yard work! I've planted no flowers. They only make even more work! and that's after the planting. Though I do love flowers . . . Hopefully you'll get some tomatoes of your own soon.

JANA - I made my kids address their own announcements, invitations, thank you's, etc. I had to do mine when I graduated, I told them!

Tonite's feast will be leftover tortellini. Thanks, Jana! Even though it had broccoli in it, Bill pronounced it 'pretty good'. So it's going to be a "heat'n'eat" kind of night here. My favorite!

Bon Appetit`!

Love the results of DWTS! Isn't RIker a cousin to the Hough's????? With some training I'll bet he could be as good as they are. Just needs a little control of all that energy.

I solved the "I love flowers, but can't do all the upkeep"! I just fill pots to set around the patio! Just water! And hanging baskets, too.

Earl's son, Jeff, who lives next door always tills the garden and plants. This year Earl started tomato plants in the hot house and Jeff stuck them in the ground in the garden for us! They already had some small green tomatoes on them! Last year we planted some in the flower bed, but they didn't get enough sun and we got nothing.

Dinner....hmmmmmmmm. I sent all the leftover leftovers next door, so it will be new food. Either Mama's Grill or chicken tenders and sweet potato medley.

Cool today, but dry!!! No mugginess!
Joanne

Good afternoon from a semi sunny, but cold, Sw. Pa...To me it's darn cold and I even turned on the furnace this morning...We had a very short summer, lol......

Mary, you really do deserve that massage and some down time...I wish there was someone around here that would give a good massage...We have chiropractors in the area but the only 1, I actually trusted passed away...I worked for 1 (shortly) and when I saw how he "practiced", and other experiences, really turned me against chiropractics...But my sister swears by the one she goes to....
AND would you believe, I'm on my way to get more flowers, mulch and nuggets...And if I see some hanging baskets, they might end up in the car also.....

Joanne, glad you're happy with the DWTS results...I really hadn't watched but was amazed at the fellow that had lost his arm and leg...I just can't get over how they can learn those dances from week to week....
You do know, tonight is the big night for Survivor....I'm rooting for Mike or Carolyn but have a feeling, if they get the chance, Mike will be voted off....Gonna be a long night......

As for our dinner, left over chili and a salad....Maybe tomorrow I'll get creative and break out some new food.........

Happy eating..............

We have been overcast and rainy… not loads of rain, but enough or maybe a little extra. Anything extra is great for the reservoir and ponds for August. I am sure the lack of sun is slowing DH’s watermelon patch and my tomatoes. We’re cool today, and I’m not complaining… HEAT will come… in excess!

Dinner… do I HAVE to??? Guess I’ll go out and see what the freezer holds. Maybe some burger for DH. There is some left-over asparagus soup that I will enjoy. I’m sure we won’t go hungry.

Hello everyone, Another running day here.DH had Dental appointment ,errands ,eat out then groceries.Too much at one trip but it is done.

Mary's How we would love to come to WA.DGS should get in his new home in 2 was.If DH can possibly make it we will visit him.I am doubtful.

We were supposed to go visit our DS this weekend for the May BDay bash but we are not up to it & I do not want to be driving on Memorial weekend.I still am dragging from sinuses.

Carol love all the info you give.Hope you don't mind me leaving your title off.lol

Irish on hanging baskets being heavy !the one I bought from DDs gift. When I hung it the
Clips connected to chain snapped.I caught it & DH had to use very heavy wire to attach it to chain. So far it is holding. He said he is sure it weighs 25 lbs.Did not think of that when I got it.Know your flowers will be pretty.

We ate at the Gazebo for lunch.I had Greek salad & DH had BLT salad. He got lots of cookies at market so we are set.....Becca

Good afternoon -

late to the table - but we do eat well around here! LOL

It is thundering, lightning and pouring down rain - we haven't turned the heater off yet - need it in the mornings and I use the fireplace in the afternoons to take off the chill. Very dark right now as a huge thunder cloud just rolled over the top of my house - I hear it over the mountain - will be here in a few minutes. We are ever so grateful for all the rain! Keep it coming!

DS3 - Daniel in California said it is really bad in his area for the drought. He will be here in a month for a very quick in and out visit - here on Friday and heading home on Sunday afternoon! Just to support his nephew as he leaves for the mission field.

Dinner - humm - soup - chicken - tacos - chili - I have all the fixings for any of the above - we shall see!

I think I need to scoot before the lightning strikes here at the house - it is right over the top of me - flash - boom - no time in between - time to shut down everything!

Hugs
Jana
