SUPPER CLUB - Tues, May 12th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue May 12, 2015 3:43 am

Good Morning!

This morning we are off to Elma to the Warm & Natural factory to pick up a 40-yd bolt of batting. That's about 70 miles west of us, towards the ocean. On the way back, we'll take a detour of about 30 miles south and meet two of my brothers for brunch. We'll probably get back home again about 2pm.

IRISH - glad you had a happy and busy Mothers Day! Yeah, that mower thing could come back to bite you in the tushie . . . and yes, Sunday breakfast was crowded. We go at 0800 every Sunday morning and are often the only ones there for the first 20 minutes. But not on Mother's Day! Your strawberry pie tradition is sweet - on all levels!

BECCA - your poor DGD! Hope she heals quickly. What an appropriate, if not the best, way to spend Mother's Day for her mama - dropping everything because her baby needs her. Did you get your package yet??

JANA - our DGS graduates on June 1th. I don't know if we get to go or not. We haven't been told yet. We went to his brother's 4 yrs ago . . . There will be a party for him on the 14th (combo grad and 18th birthday) and I'll be happy enough if that's all we get to go to.

CHICKIE - sounds like your special day was stupendous! And now you have a little sewing buddy wanna-be pecking at your door! Lucky you!

VELDA - it's tricky planning meals around emptying out the fridge, trying to time it all just right!

TINA - awwhhh, sorry you are back to your real world today. but even Cinderella had to come home from the ball.

GEN LADY CAROL - your needles really HAVE been clacking, haven't they! I tried, once again, to learn to knit. I've come to the conclusion that God wants me to be a quilter - and nothing else! and a new little GGRS! congrats! First a princess and now a prince! Lucky you!

Tonite will be leftover meatloaf. I think I'll add some mac & cheese, and there will be salad for sure.

Hope your supper is tasty tonite! (if your house is like my house, they aren't all 5-star! lol!)

Good morning,

I have taken pages from the book of Mary and Izzy - been busy as the little energizer bunny!

Vacuumed, dishes, mt washmore, washed the bedroom rug, swept the kitchen and it is only 10:15 in the morning! DH is out mowing the lawns too.

My girls are here today, so dinner is out! We had kids here in Sunday and the other kids last night, so I deserve a take out meal!

Becca - she is a definite keeper - so sweet

Tina - hope you get the rain!

Enjoy,
Jana

Tonight is dinner with the Pringles at Mama's Grill. After that Earl and his daughter will go to an OVAM meeting...(antique machinery group)..I'll stay home, it's a fairly long ride (about 40 min.)and my knees have been bothering me alot lately).

The weather is back to the proper season...Spring! I love it!

Good late afternoon from sunny, warm, not hot, Sw. Pa...It has cooled off about 15 degrees and if the sun would disappear, it might be a little chilly (for me)....

But, it was good outside working weather...Neighbor Ted brought 6 tomato plants that needed planted so I played gardener while Jim was finishing the mowing..I did luck out, the new mower hasn't gotten here yet....Now I'm itching to get to the greenhouse and get more plants, mulch and anything else that just might look good...I think plant shopping is ranked just under fabric shopping and there have been times, Jim has almost banned me from Home Depot's garden shop....Not that I get carried away, not me!

Mary, are you taking a semi to gather up that bolt of batting? I can't imagine getting that much...But, for you and Bill, that's probably nothing with the quilts you 2 crank out....

Becca, Oh my, she really is a keeper....But, I have a feeling, she thinks you're also a keeper...You can tell in your posting, there's a lot of love in your family.....

General Lady Carol, boy that's a mouth full but so deserving...You really are a busy bee aren't you? And you sure don't slack off with your menus, always sound so darn good.....

Well, I've stalled long enough and still don't have a clue as to put on the table tonight....I think I'm still full from yesterday's all day eating and could care less about cooking....We can't have burgers on the grill, just had that on Sunday, meat loaf is gone, no steaks in the freezer that I can find.......Unless Jim comes up with an idea, that bag of pop corn is looking better and better.....

Happy eating..................
