SUPPER CLUB - Fri, April 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Apr 24, 2015 5:33 am

Sounds like we all ate well yesterday!

BECCA - So armadilloes are the new pet? Yikes! What's wrong with old-fashioned kittens and puppies?? And did you see Chickie said they can carry leprosy? I did not know that.

CHICKIE - possoms on the half-shell?? lol! That's creative cooking! I knew an old lady once, sort of a female codger, who was house-sitting for friends. She heard a noise outside, took her shotgun out and saw a porcupine. She shot it and put it in the freezer for the homeowners because she was sure they'd want to eat it when they returned. Maybe they did. . . .

IRISH - what's with you and Old Man Winter? You got a 'thing' going on with him, or what??

TINA - I've seen pictures of two-headed calves. poor things! Sorry you're not feeling too well. Perhaps you should rest your cold sore. I hear fabric dust is a reliable treatment for such ailments . . . .

GENERAL LADY CAROL - we love your 'yak'! You teach and entertain! Give yourself another gold star!

JOANNE - I also found that frying only part of the meat at a time works better.

JANA - what are you fussy cutting?

DH changed my menu last night to hamburgers and cottage cheese. I TOLD him that meatloaf was already posted on Supper Club! He thought he could still go ahead with his wild burger idea! Sorry. I think tonite will be baked pork chops with noodles. Salad or green beans. The cake is gone and since no one is making us another one, we will not be eating cake. :o( But we have some Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches . . . .:o))

Hope your supper makes you smile tonite?

Good early afternoon from a very sunny but still chilly, Sw. Pa...Too cold to hang the sheets on the line outside.....

Mary, I've really had it with Old Man Winter, been trying to get rid of him but just won't take the hint.....I've packed those clothes away, what more does he want?????

Did you see, Chriss has new very cute kittens??? I had a call last night from a friend wanting to know if I knew anyone that could take a cat or 2...A neighbor of her's just up and left her house, leaving a dog and 3 cats...My friend had her son open a window so she could get food to them and has been making phone calls to everyone and anyone she can think of...These people should be locked up for a very long time...

Becca, hope DH is having fun with his new toy and most important, found a home for all those pieces...Comes assembled, right! Jim just got our mower back from the hospital and was told there was nothing wrong...BUT, he tried to use it and said it's worse now than before....I see a new mower in our future...Either that or sell off some of this property......

I'm waiting for our financial guy to come and have us sign some papers....When I called him, he got excited, thought I was buying that house in Florida..(I had told him, if ever, I'd give him a key)...New windows don't come cheap.....But, like a friend of Jim's said, might as well spend that money, normally coffins don't come with pockets.....

And on that note, on to dinner....I have chicken thawing and might try Kathy's recipe...Forgot to get potatoes so might have buttered noodles instead and a veggie..........Sounds easy to me......

Happy eating.............

Tonight will be Mama's Grill...Earl said this morning. I was on a roll with cooking, too! lol!

Mary and Irish...noodles? Did I influence you guys with my noodles last night? They were good, too. Leftovers went to Earl's son, next door...they have an extra teen boy living with them, so they take all leftovers! lol!!

Cold last night...a light frost. Rain all day tomorrow..ugh.

Enjoy the evening!

Good afternoon!

I have no idea for dinner - ran out of leftovers.

Mary - I am fusy cutting squares for the diaper bag I have started - they are diehard Utah Utes fans - so it is all that fabric and reds, black and white. I have cut the little things that go with the Utes from a piece of fabric I found. It took some re-doing of the pattern, because the main square is bigger than the rest. Thank goodness is was twice as big, so it counts 4 of my squares. So I laid out everything and have been sewing sections together. I have just the last third to finish assembling and make the pockets. It looks really goid, if I do say so myself! LOL

Back to sewing,
Enjoy,
Jana
