SUPPER CLUB - Fri, April 17th

Good Morning!

We have a warm, sunny day here and plan to take advantage of it. I think we'll take Bob & Betsy to Poulsbo, a Scandinavian town about 40 miles north of us. Lots of touristy things to see and do there. And it's pretty dog friendly, too. Betsy is a quilter, too, so know she'll be interested in the quilt shops there! Might buy some sandwiches and picnic in the waterfront park

JANA - that 2-week window in June was the only time this year that we thought we could get to UT. We have our RV Rally the last of June and then we're off to Alaska. I hope Sarah is able to work out the details of the house.

JOANNE - how is Early doing? Sending him a big hug!

LADY CAROL - your speaker sounds VERY interesting! and found a way to support her habit, too? Interesting AND smart!

BECCA - I hope you get to stay home and play with your toys today!

CHICKIE - hope your storms are just small bursts of light for you today!

Betsy wants to cook tonite and she's making us spaghetti. After 3 yrs since her big surgery she is still reveling in simple things - like being able to cook a dinner and share it with friends. And good friends that we are, we're going to let her! lol!

Hope you can get someone to cook for you tonite!

I had turkey salad leftovers so will add cottage cheese & pickled beets,& fresh strawberries.DH has roast beef with his beans he loves.And s,mores......Becca

Good afternoon from slightly overcast, but warm, SW. Pa....

Mary, I'm sure no matter what you do with your company, it will be special....Your day trip sounds really neat....You seem to have so many interesting spots to visit out there....

Not much happening in this household today....I've gotten a good case of the "lazys"....I had intended to put up the new blinds today but of course I ended up getting the wrong size...You'd think by now, I'd know what I'm to get but oh no! And now I'm not sure if I want to keep the liners I bought...I think I hate "dressing" windows, wish someone would just come in and do it for me......

My outing last night was fun, good company and lots of goodies to eat...The gal that was in charge has been a long time friend and she lost her hubby suddenly about a week before Chris and it just happens, he is buried right next to Chris...She said, she's so glad her Bob is near someone he knows, lol...And then the priest from their church lives right near the cemetery and they have put him in charge of watching out for the 2 of them...AND her name is also Kathy....

So on to dinner and that's a big ?.....I haven't a clue...There's could be a little "left over" hidden in the frig that is still edible...But, there is always that bag of popcorn, lol.....

Good Evening All......nice and sunny....but still that nip in the wind.......

nothing much going on here......you don't know how happy that makes me......just a quick trip into town....first stop.....coffee and toast.......then to get some lightweight iron on stuff(cant remember the name)to make a pouch.....with a zip.....I could end up dancing off with the fairies......but then again......I MIGHT have a pouch....found this on the internet.....if I don't come back to let you know how it goes.....you will know the fairies have got me......

Good afternoon! It's sunny now. We had some rain this morning, but it's bright now. Odie and Tinker Bell accompanied me as I walked down to let Ava out to do her doggy duties. She always has such a good time playing with and trying to imitate the big dogs. Always fun!

I didn't get my soup made yesterday, so tonight's fare will be cream of asparagus soup with fried morels and some corn bread.

We opted for grilled cheese sandwiches with small bowls of ham 'n beans last evening. I was trying to get some sewing room time for the LUB blocks with not a lot of success.

Drum roll..........ta da!! I COOKED!!!!!! Parmesian chicken, candied sweet potatoes and peas...it was wonderful...Earl YUMMMMED all the way through dinner..lol! I know that I was really tired of eating out.

Earl is good, Mary...thanks for asking.

The day was beautiful...sun and warm! Tonight the Reds play the St. Louis Cardinals. Amazing Race is also on, but I'll tape it to watch later.

Eating out! Frig is almost empty! LOL. Tomorrow we pull out of here and take our rig in to check the brakes. Going to stay with our son.

Hope to check in with y'all. But don't know how the next few days will go. Sunday is my family reunion and potluck. I just ordered some yummy fried chicken to pick up at the deli, so I don't have to cook.

tonight we pick up a quick sandwich at Mc-D's and then off to "dance the night away". So looking forward to the fun of that.
