I am assuming that since charm packs are perfect for this that we do not need to wash fabrics.

April - Yes that is right. Totally forgot about that when I made mine straight from the Charm Pack.

Sonya - I am so sorry you feel it is hideous. As long as the colors are sunny, cheerful and makes you think of Spring then it is wonderful. Would love to see a picture of it, please? See you next month
Enjoy finishing your Vessels blocks and Noah's Quilt

Well you ask for it, Teresa..this is bad..it is the first 9 patch like this I have ever made and I do believe the most hideous..obviously there needs to be some kind of planning which I clearly did not do..I just pulled some 5" blocks...and obviously they are not spring (you would think I could read BOLD PRINT..SHEESH!) ..so I guess that certainly didn't help...so let this be a lesson of what NOT to do!
..anyway..I will not be able to join this month anyway because all the fabric I own is pre-washed and I have made myself a commitment that I would not buy any more fabric that isn't absolutely necessary or unless I believe I may hyperventilate or die without it..
...I will see what you have next month...

Sonya, I actually like your blocks. But I do think that Teresa wants us to find some bright Spring colors.
I have decided to join in this month. Jacquie, your blocks have inspired me. Wow! you did six of them, that was quick. You are amazing!!
I will search out my fabrics.
Will it be OK, if we cut 5" squares from our yardage?
I only have a few charms that were given in goody bags at a "shop hop". I really don't want to have to go and purchase a whole charm pack for the Lotto.
I have lots of flowers and bright fabric. Not sure if I will find any stripe. Really have to search this out today.
Happy stitching!!

Velda, I think you can get the 5 inch squares either with a charm pack or cutting your own. I am not joining this month but would cut my own if I was. Lotto is meant as a learning experience, not to break the bank.

Thank you, Velda...when I went back and looked they don't seem so bad as hideous...they are mostly bad, I think, because they do not go with what the plan is...Springtime!...I am going to try another in Spring colors just to see if I can do one I like...the ones posted by others are really pretty...I still will have to bow out this month because I seriously have no un-washed fabric...the first thing I do when I bring it home is wash it!...thanks for the encouragement...I'm going to try again..
....Sonya.

Hi ladies, well I am 'sew' pleased I have inspired some one to have a bash at these blocks
I have to admit they were VERY quick and VERY easy to make, they only took me a short while to make the 6 yesterday afternoon, no sooner said than done! they were then taken straight off to the Post Office for their little trip across the pond!
Have fun ladies, that's what it's all about after all!!
(Ohhh, and the delight of winning also!!) heehee...

Hello Ladies - Definitely use 5" Squares from Yardage or Charm Packs. Either one ALWAYS works. Yes the Lotto is never meant to break to bank or have you go out and buy fabric just for it.
Do not worry about washed or unwashed in this one as the winners can gently spritz them and lay them out to dry or do as they wish. These blocks are very easy to square to any size. On your nametag please put a "W" for washed, "NW" not washed so the winners know.
Please go with as close to "YOUR" Springtime as you can get and use fabrics on the Medium to lighter side. With the way the weather has been you could even use fabrics that have winterlike trees in them - teehee???
Stripes was always an option to get another ticket. If you do not have stripes then use a colored TOT so it will go with the fabrics of another block.
With this being said....
Sonya - I LOVE your block and YES I WISH YOU TO PLEASE SEND IT!!! I see flowers and music and stripes
Also a lot of it is in the arrangement of the squares so if you take a look at the second picture I posted and turn your blocks that way I think you will like it better. Could you show us a picture please? HUGE THANKS!
Would love to see more pals come on over and give this a try. Very easy and Very fast. So please give a shout out for us
