SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Jan. 30th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jan 30, 2015 8:07 am

We are cool and overcast again this morning but the word around the weather 'ap' is that we're going to 55 and sunny this afternoon.

JO - happy birthday to Ribs and Earl!
JANA - how's Sarah's shoulder? You WILL share a pic of that layette, won't you?
CHICKIE - Got you down for two nights of suppers!
TINA - So - did Frankie get his burger or Bill's chicken?

Today is my 44th wedding anniversary with LDH#1. Sadly, we only got to celebrate 14 of them together. It's always a melancholy day for me. Seems like yesterday we were two sick teenagers taking vows for life. We both had bad colds on our wedding day.

I spent a few hours this morning while it was still dark, making lotto blocks. Then I emptied the very last of everything from the trailer and 80% of all that is finally put away in the house. Will start cleaning the trailer and restocking Monday. Resettling is always such a long process.

Dinner tonite will be at The Tides - the 90 yr old tavern down on the waterfront. With two other couples and Warren. So we may have pizza or burgers or chicken fingers, or ???

Late afternoon from very cold, semi sunny, Sw. Pa....I was wondering if we were meeting at the table today.....

Happy anniversary, Mary, although sad, remember the good memories....
Sounds like your dinner will be a fun one....

It's been a busy day around here...Jim had an early doctor appointment and I decided to tackle the "cubby hole" and another big storage closet in the back bedroom...I usually get half way done and wonder why I ever started...But, it's done and loads of stuff is ready for Goodwill......

Dinner will be hot meat loaf sandwiches with gravy and scalloped potatoes all left over from Wed. Gotta go today or it gets pitched...Still no baking, poor Jim......

Happy eating............

Sunny, cold (upper 20's) and a dusting of snow this morning. Enough icy spots for me to cancel my Dr. appt. for my RA...going next week and hoping that we don't get tons of snow on Sunday/Monday!

Earl suggested that we go to Frisch's...and eat since we will be snowed in for the next three days. Doesn't look like we will make it to dinner with the Pringles on Monday next week...ugh.

Irish, is the "cubby hole" the same one that you crawl into every year??? It must be where you stuff everything all year! lol!

Mary, that tavern sounds interesting!

Good afternoon,

Yes, I will show y'all the layette - big huge gi-enormous boo-boo in the quilt - we got some puckers in the backing and didn't find them until we rolled - uggggggh! It was in a upper corner, so we finished the quilting and it is now off the LA and in my lap - I am frogging - I am so good at that! I have about a third of the area done and my eyes are permanently crossed.- so a break is in order.

Dinner is leftover meatloaf.- maybe a side of real mac and cheese. Store bought afters - a treat for Michael - orange cupcakes. His favorite.

Cold and rainy - we haven't seen any snow in the valley for about a month. Not too bad for winter in the mountains, but we realky need the snow.

Kitchen update - paint colors were perfect! Cabinets will be ready for installation in 2 weeks. The laundry room is ready for the old ones and on Monday we go and pick out the granite for the counters. After getting the piece of granite I can then pick out the tile backsplash. All the tear out and other moves will be the eek before. Should leave me without a kitchen only for a week or so. Before and after pics too.

Enjoy,
Jana
