SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Jan 27th
Good Morning!
We are about 5 hours from home! Yay! Though we just heard they are closing Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 through the Cascades about the time we would be passing through there. So we'll take our time and hope it's open again. They say it should take them about 60-90 minutes to remove some dangerous trees.
I hope everyone in the storm is OK. IRISH - I know you're in the path. I saw you on the weather map last night!
We expect to arrive home around 2pm. My older DD, Lara, and her DH, Lee, should be arriving around 6pm to welcome us home, so we're going to eat pizza. Proabably some Take and Bake. We will have a crackling fire going in the wood stove and just enjoying HOME!
Let's all be safe out there!

There's NO place like Home! There's No place like Home! Click your heels and keep repeating, and soon you will be there! Oh Happy Day! I know this will be a happy dinner, no matter what you have, but pizza is always perfect!
Irish--do hope you withstand the onslaught of snow! I need to turn on the TV and check everyone out... and my next stop is the Sew In.
Dinner tonight? I have to think on it. I wish my truck would get fixed and we could go to town and bring her home. I'd try to get dinner out... Mostly, I just miss my truck! Meanwhile, I'll try to come up with something for dinner...
Enjoy your day! Stay safe in the North East!

Good late morning from snow covered, SW. Pa....Yep, we did get hit but not nearly as much as our friends in New England...Our roads are semi cleared and traffic is moving but what a white mess....Jim was out this morning trying to shovel our walk...When the snow plow comes by, they push the snow near our little drive way and walks so Jim shoveled it right back in the street.....
Oh Mary, so glad you're almost home...Hope the Pass gets open and those last miles are easy ones.....Pizza and a roaring fire, doesn't get much better than that.....
Not sure what I had on the menu for last night but it ended up to be Chicken pot pie, so that means, left overs tonight....But, I also have all the fixings for lasagna and meat loaf so I might mix up both and put them in the freezer for future "can't come up with anything" days......Yesterday, I talked with DD Kathy and she had made banana muffins so you know I had to make them...Of the dozen, I think we might have 3 left so I guess Jim thought they were pretty good...Either that or he was darn hungry this morning....Kathy also had sent us a box of candy from a candy factory out there and darn if I didn't have to open it...Yep, 1/2 gone and right to the hips.....
So left overs tonight and NO baking for a day or so....
Happy eating................

Irish--when I lived in town, the plows created mountains in the driveways. I always had to re-shovel there so we could get out. Good to hear you are safe and sound!
Lasagna is on our menu tonight. I just made one and stuck it in the fridge. Now I'm going to walk down and help DH with his wood and enjoy our beautiful weather before it changes on Thursday. I'm sure the nice weather will be moving east to give you all a reprieve and something to complain about for me.

Good afternoon,
Glad the snowfall was less than was expected. Maybe it's me, but I find the weather gurus seem to blow everything out of proportion or are way late with when it is to arrive. The gurus miss here all thevtime.
Today is my afternoon with my Activity Day girls. This is a whole new set - my old ones aged out, so I start a new group for the year. Today will be a etiquette lesson.
Sarah has injured her arm and is in a sling for a few days - no lifting either - so the bulk of finishing the layette is in my ballpark now. Sarah has a severe case of bursitis - got a cortisone shot yesterday.
Dinner is out today - will bring home something and probably feed the other family too.
Mary - you are probably home by now - better those trees are taken down, rather than deciding on their own to do so. There is no place like home, that is anchored to a non movable foundation! LOL
Enjoy,
Jana

I'm late posting, sorry. Have been beading this afternoon. We have left over chili tonight. I will fix a salad to go with it.
Then, I have some Sugar Free Chocolate pudding for dessert.
Mary: yippee, skippy!!! Bet you will be happy to be back home tonight.
Hope all the fur babies will like it too.
Hugs to all the other gals around the table tonight.
Velda
