Supper club, Jan. 24th, Sat.......

Post by Irishgram » Sat Jan 24, 2015 7:17 am

Welcome from semi sunny, very snowy, cold, Sw. Pa.....It's absolutely gorgeous, if you're inside looking out...Won't catch me going out, no way!

I can't believe no one has made it to the table yet....Here it is afternoon.....I've been busy with laundry, uglies and of course, spoiling our visiting cat....I did have a text from DGS telling me, he's back in Florida and will be flying home later...I guess that means he'll be coming to get Kitty....I'm going to miss this sweetie.....

This being Sat., that means the cook is on strike so it's everyone for themselves....We have left over pizza and that's going to have to suffice......Either that or, pick your own can of soup, lots on the shelf......

Happy eating..................

Hello Irish...

I have company, my niece's dad, My brother, is here so I am cooking tonight.
Have a whole chicken I am going to bake, will make cornbread dressing, and veggies.

Nothing too elaborate.

It is snowy here but melting fast. Very pretty this morning looking out the window, but cold when I went out to feed.

We barely got a dusting of snow...but forecast maybe some on Sunday night.

Last night ended up being soup and cheese/crackers...both too full from Earl's feast at noon! lol!

Tonight may be the leftover meatloaf and noodles...or Mama's...up to Earl!

Good afternoon,

I have beautiful weather here - bright and the sun is shining brightly. Only drawback, it is cold! Noon and we are only 29.

I have been in the laundry room, shoveling it out! LOL My old kitchen cabinets are going in there, so I am readying that room. Matt will be here this afternoon to get the washer and dryer in their proper space. We have to do some surgery on the wall to fit in the dryer vent -the new dryer vents at a different height - why can't they do a standard height? Oh well.

Dinner was out last night, picked up some "ham-a- burgers" (Ethan's term ) and will cook a banned dish tonight - salmon.

Waiting to go and sew- DDIL, who the layette is for, is dropping by and I don't want to ruin the surprise - the fabric is all over in the Batt Cave.

Enjoy,
Jana

Nothing fancy tonight. Just fixing a Hamburger Helper made with ground turkey, salad, bread and butter, and fruit.

Just quick and easy.

We had a wiener roast and picnic for a late lunch/early dinner. The dogs and I were going to walk down to meet DH in the timber when he was coming back. Somehow a picnic idea came up, and I had gotten hot dogs at the store today. They are for giving the dogs their pills, but we purloined some of them and had a wiener roast with Doritos, and oranges for sides. Today was really pretty, and a great day to be outside. I walked back to the house to put a binding on Mom's quilt with my sewing machine. For some reason, hers kept skipping stitches on me when I sewed on the quilt; the test strips were perfect (but no batting).

Have a great evening!

I slept for under 3 hours last night so I went ahead and got all my labels and packages ready to mail in my wide awake hours, I was so glad I did because tired didn't hit me till about 10:30 this morning and then I wouldn't have been able to finish them all, they are zooming to their homes now :o) Delivery will start on Tuesday for some :o)

I'm heating up leftover chile soup for supper :o) really works for me :o) I had a couple hours nap this afternoon and feel human again :o)

Irish this is especially for you :o) LOL it didn't have a kitty but just imagine your visiting kitty instead of the cute puppy ;o)
