SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Dec 27th
Good Morning!
BECCA - enjoy your company today. It's a lot of work, but it's so worth it. At least I think it is! I love company. and I love it even more after they leave and I can put my feet up for a bit! How is your neighbor?
Today we're going back to Autumn's to build shelves, floor to ceiling. in her laundry room. And probably the men will do the building and the girls will do the LQS shopping and the homemade pizza making. I like that kind of work division.
What's the plan at your house?

I am back to ham again. I needed something for the company that stayed and came to visit yesterday, so DH suggested a ham. That's what we'll be having for a long time. I think I'll stick some of it in the freezer.
We had a lovely Christmas on Christmas with family, but... yesterday was truly special... A TEA PARTY with Mom and my two sisters. My sister in town took Mom's tea set from Japan... complete with scenes of Mt. Fuji (sent by my dad home in the 40s from his travel as a merchant seaman after the war). We had tea, cookies, an 8-layer cake that my sister had made, and candies-- using the china cups and saucers, tea service, pretty table cloth and napkins... It was a magical afternoon of remembering old times, childhood tea parties, and a special time with Mom. Even Odie had a little cookie.

Good morning,
Mary - that is a good division of labor. We have something similar here too.
Chickie - love to have days and memories like that!
Well, as one of the gifts that Santa left, was a gnocchi board so I could make them. Matt was here and he loves gnocchis, so I attempted to make them. First try, I didn't get enough flour mixed in with the riced potatoes, so they were tender, but didn't hold their shape very well, fell apart. So I will try again, but when it is just Michael and me. The whole tribe was here. They are not hard, but slightly time consuming in shaping each little gnocchi.
Tonight will be tacos - easy - I have no idea on who or how many will be here around dinner time. Daniel is the star attraction! LOL
Enjoy,
Jana

Afternoon from warm, sunny, spring like, SW. Pa....We all know what's going to happen in a few days so boy are we enjoying this weather...Right now, doors and windows are wide open and the neighbor has clothes hanging on the line....December?????
Mary, that sounds like a good work detail, just the way it should be....
Chickie, A tea party, how neat is that...I'll bet your Mom loved it...Such good memories.....
Not much happening today, just a few uglies (mighty few)...Most of the gang will be meeting, at our favorite spot for breakfast in the morning after Mass and then some have to leave for home....
For our dinner, it just might be using the grill again...But, if not, we might go back to the ham, also....And we have scads of cookies and Cari said, she's bringing more when she comes today....I have a feeling, everyone knows how much Pap likes his sweets.....
Happy eating..........

Hi everybody, We are back in civilization from our farm in central La. We had a restful few days. Not much was accomplished because it was either raining or just too wet too do much outside. It is so nice to see family and friends, but it's great to come home. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, Abita
