SUPPER CLUB - Christmas Eve!

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Dec 24, 2014 1:54 am

Can you believe it's Christmas Eve already?? It comes faster every year!

CHICKIE - sorry you can't get the last of your sewing finished. But on the plus side - you'll have CATS FOR CHRISTMAS!!

VELDA - we know several couples who full-time and have put in residential fridges and have good luck with them. But we do too much boon-docking and back-country stuff. We wanted a fridge that runs on propane as well as electric. And we got it, all installed now! So happy to be done with that!

BECCA - I will GLADLY come share your goodies, but you can keep that salad!

JANA - sounds like Mom might be spoiling her Daniel just a li'l bit! lol! I would, too!! butter him up with Mom's home-cooking that I'm sure he misses.

JOANNE - supper last night sounds good at your house! I'm picturing sweet potato medly as a gathering of various varieties of sweet potatoes, chunked, and roasted or baked. Am I close?

CAROL! - there you are! We've missed you!

I am baking a pumpkin pie this morning and we'll have an early supper with Autumn and Aaron. The plan is for them to come out to our campsite and we'll grill pre-seasoned pork tenerloin and have mashed potatoes, green beans, and fruit salad with it. We might have a bottle of wine, too. ;o} Weather is a bit on the chilly side, though, so we may haul the entire supper into town to their house. We'll make that call later this morming.

Merry Christmas Eve, y'all!

Good morning,

Oh yes, I do try to spoil him while he is here. He is such a great help to DH. The two of them are putting the storage room shelves in. Michael has been struggling on how to do it,and Daniel has the expertise. So the problems have been solved and they have been working on it. Good thing, I will have a place for all the Christmss to be stored until next year.

My girls are doingvthe dinner for tonight. This is the big family dinner for us. Prime rib, rice, gravy, homemade tolls, roasted asparagus, green stuff, and assorted honemade cookies and candies.

Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas! !

Afternoon from semi sunny, mild, Sw. Pa.....I'm really late today but have been kind of busy......

Mary, I'm sure no matter where you have your meal, it will be special....And speaking of spoiling, you've certainly spoiled Jim and me......You are something!

Just had messages from 2 of the kids and they will be here for breakfast in the morning...Waiting to hear from the rest...I guess I might have to bake some goodies.....

For our dinner, I think we just might light the grill...It is so darn nice outside, we really should take advantage of it....Not often you get to cook outside on Christmas Eve, especially in SW. Pa....

Merry Christmas everyone.......
