SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Nov 23rd

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Nov 23, 2014 1:10 am

Good Morning,

Today is my sister's birthday-eve. And my 3/4 birthday. So much to celebrate!

After a day and a half of rain, thunder, and lightening, we're supposed to have a sunny day going to 77*. A gift, I say! Especially since Autumn and Aaron are coming to our campsite for a BBQ. Since our two sets of friends here know her as well, we've invited everybody! Burgers for 8, plus potato salad, broccoli salad, baked beans, chips, all the usual relishes, and pecan pie. We'll be eating high off the hog today!

Hope your eating goes as well as ours today!

Wait, Mary, I didn't see any hog on the menu! Dinner sounds delicious. Happy 3/4 birthday! I can keep track of my half birthday, but I never thought about 3/4. Have a fun time!!!

I made DH steak last evening and we had baked sweet potatoes. I opened the wrong end of the cinnamon and dumped a ton on mine. I should have extremely low blood sugar after that! I also had an artichoke with Siraccha mayo. It's unusual to find good artichokes at the store. I think I will have another tonight. I'm not sure of the meat--either steak or stuffed pork chops.

Enjoy!

Good morning,

Mary- happy 3/4 birthday - mine is about 7/8's for the year.

Chickie - didn't see any hog either - I could go for some BBQ'd hog!

Soup is on the menu here - with a SF mac & cheese sandwich on sourdough. It is in season now - dungess mac and cheese is the best.

Enjoy,
Jana

Afternoon from semi sunny and WARM (60 degrees), SW. Pa....We're to have rain tonight and another warm day and then back to the Tundra.....

The pizza that was predicted for last night will make an appearance today....Last night was that "hit or miss" and for me it was mostly miss...Thank goodness for crackers....

Happy eating.................

I missed posting yesterday! Ugh! We had our family Thanksgiving..only 30 were here, but that was plenty! lol! Tons of food that we had again today..and it was even better.
My son, Randy deep fried the turkey and a breast...plus we had a ten pound ham. It was all yummy!

I have to tell what I was doing the day that President Kennedy was shot...I was giving birth to my first child..my daughter!
