Supper Club - Sunday, Oct. 26th
Good morning from South Louisiana, I'm up early with a long list of to dos. First on my list, is to pray for all of you dear friends.
DH is still out of town, so meals have been easy.LOL
Tomorrow DS2 is leaving to go to Louisville, KY for the National FFA Convention. Wow he is excited! He is going with 4 other guys and their AgSci teacher. He is looking forward to wearing his brand new Blue Jacket and representing Louisiana. He's President of his school's chapter, so he is really proud.
Please offer a little prayer for all the young people going to this function, that they all get there and back home safely. Signing off now, to begin my to-dos, Abita

Good Morning.
I am up early today, too. Hope the FFA group has a lot of fun, but mostly be safe in travels. I love seeing the FFA kids on our local news when they have events and conventions. The classic BLUE jackets look so sharp!! Congrats to your son.
I found out this morning, that I posted my Saturday entry on Friday's supper club. Not exactly blonde, but with my white hair, I look like a blonde. So I guess I was a "dumb blonde" yesterday.
Today is another eating out day for us. We have used down our groceries and the freezer is empty. I don't like to travel with the frig and freezer full. We are just waiting for Doctor's report for my DH before we can make our exit. Just hoping and praying for good news, so we can continue with our plans for the winter.
Hugs to all. Hope your special holiday was great, Mary. I know this is such an exciting time for the whole family. So the BIG bird had to go into the oven after all. Hope you make us all drool with your yummy reports of all the delicious foods.
Hugs to all
Velda

Good Morning!
ABITA - I'm sure your son will have a terrific time! Congrats to him for all his successes!
VELDA - haha! Well, at least you got your post in the right section of the forum. A few days ago I put S.C. in the Sew-In! And I don't have blond(-ish) hair to blame it on. It couldn't have been the wine - could it?
Our dinner was great! Would you believe there were hardly any leftovers? Enough turkey for one sandwich. Tonite will have to be all new food. Ham, with some repeats - sweet potatoes, asparagus, green salad. One guest is bringing sour cream lemon pie, plus we have 1/2 pumpkin pie left over and bread pudding my DGS made.
But first - we're meeting my brother and SIL for our usual Sunday morning breakfast where they start us out with a bowl of fresh fruit and 1/2 waffle for free. THEN we order! The free food is enough for me, but it seems tacky to go there every week and eat for free. So DH and I usually split an omelet.
I hope you're all eating at least half as high on the hog as we are this weekend! Mary

Good morning,
Just getting ready for church - -dinner is easy - pork chops, gravy, and mashed taters - comfort food. It was to be dinner yesterday, and then the kids showed up - I had all the fixins for buttermilk pancakes and sausages.
Mary - sounds like lots of fun at your house! Haaving Warren over today will be great for him.
Abita - FFA is big here in Utah too. Growing up a city girl in CA, I never heard of it until I went to college in Idaho. My neighbor is the AG guy here for SLC and is big with FFA and 4H.
Velda - we all have those moments - give me a couple of more years and I will finally be a blonde too - right now, just a few of thise pesky gray ones are showing up.
Enjoy,
Jana

I can get away with the blonde moments having been a dumb one all my life. I'm just a platinum blonde now that my hair is gray. Tonight's meal will revolve around the fresh green beand one of the coffee guys gave DH. The rest will be an Italian style dish of pasta, pepperoni, marinara, sausage and parmesan.
Abita--several of the grands here have been involved in FFA. They are also big into 4H and the youth fairs. Great organizations! I am sure your son will have a great meeting.
