SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Oct 11th
Good Morning!
thank you all for the warm thoughts of our friend, Lois. CHICKIE, you are right - she is dancing now! It was quite a celebration.
IRISH - What line of Chris's is clogged? His dialysis line or does he still have a port? I'm supposing if flushing didn't do it, then he probably had to have it replaced? Hugs for your poor son! He sure is a trooper! As is your Kathy.
I've gotten so accustomed to not cooking much for the past week that I'm afraid I'm going to go into kitchen shock today. I think I'll make a crockpot of chili. Last week I browned the meat, onions, and garlic and froze it because we were going to be camping with friends, taking turns cooking. And chili was to be our menu. So I guess I'll still make that. Perhaps not such a big pot of it, though. Cornbread would be good, too. I've already got the dry ingredients for 4 recipes of it bagged in Ziplocks (another of my camping ideas) so easy to mix it up. I have some fresh spinach. I could slice that up thin and garnish my chili with that. Now I'm hungry! Feel free to stop by if it's chili you have a hankering for tonite!

Good morning,
Just cleaned out the upstairs house freezer - a ice dam built up in the bottom and the freezer drawer was kept opened just enough to frost over everything. So DH chipped out the sheet of 3/4 thick ice, so I cleaned up the drawers and racks and then re-arranged everything - my hands are cold!
Dinner here will be nachos and hot dogs or polishes, as Kate and Aaron will be here for dinner and a ball game. The next couple of weeks I will be seeing a lot of my kids - they all got rid of cable or Dish and don't have the game - but Mama does! We are picking up Matt and family around midnight from the train. What a frightful sight I will be - I need to put up my hair in curlers for Church the next morning - so glad that the train is in the middle of the night! LOL
Well, I am out to the barn again - got one door completely done and three others are halfway done - there are five total - last one will be Monday.
Enjoy,
Jana
