Re: Weight loss group
I made Banana Almond Pancakes this morning with 2 slices of bacon, it was very yummy!
here's the recipe:
Ingredients
2 bananas
2 eggs
1 Tbs coconut flour
1-2 Tbs almond butter
fresh or frozen blueberries
1/4 cup nuts of choice (walnuts, macadamia, almonds are good), chopped
1 tsp. coconut oil
Dash of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
•Mash bananas in a bowl.
•Add the eggs, coconut flour, almond butter, blueberries, and nuts and salt, and whisk until well blended.
•Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat along with a small pat of coconut oil.
•Pour small discs of batter onto the hot pan (around 3-4" around). They'll be easier to flip if you keep them from the edges of the pan.
•Flip when batter loses its "tackiness" around the edges.
•Cook other side slowly over medium heat until fully cooked.
•Reapply oil to the pan after each round of pancakes.
I halfed it because this recipe for 2

Re: Weight loss group
Carole, I ate mashed taters one night and a hot dog bun last night and am down 1/2 pound.. I will really be down a lot more because I plan to shave my legs this morning.. you'll be fine.
Sooz, park a few stalls further away than you normally would. if you can add 10 or more steps to what you walk each day or week it will add up by the end of the week...
Tina, are you counting carbs or calories? Banana's aren't on my eat list yet.. but then neither is a lot of things right now...lol..
I am wondering.. if something has so much sugar normally like watermelon or cantaloupe does it count towards sugar that makes diabetes? how does that work? my test says I am at 108 and the preferred range is 65-99.

Chriss, no I don't count calories and I don't really eat carbs because I can't have any white, red potatoes, any grains at all and nothing that is in a box, no sugars or anything with corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. This is a diabetes friendly diet and weight loss. I can eat cantaloupe, watermelon, bananas but I can only eat a little fruit, my main things to eat are 2/3-3/4 of my plate veggies and then 1 serving of meat, this includes breakfast too. I don't know if this helps you? And I have been eating more fish and less red meat, I eat fish, chicken, pork chops and maybe 1-2 nights a week we eat red meat.

Hmmmmm I have a picture of me and Frankie holding Easton before I started this and Mom took 1 of me at Jazmyne's birthday party a couple weeks after I started, haven't had any other picture taken since then. I'll see what I can do. I personally don't see much difference except in my stomach and my clothes are fitting me looser, maybe a picture is a good idea
