I am excited to do another of these quilts. The SBS quilt was fun. I didn't buy any fabrics In fact I tried to use up the stuff I really wondered why I had ever bought!! Sometimes I didn't even look and would just grab a fabric and use it. It was so much fun.y husband loves this quilt so much that I think I will do this one the same but pull more fabric out of my cupboard. I have a lot of batik fat quarters that I should use. I am going to not buy any fabric again!!!

Chickie, too cute about your DH's friends. Sounds like you got a great deal....wow, only used for 3 hours! Awesome. Can't wait for you to get it and start playing with it. I have the Creative 4.0....can't go wrong with a Pfaff!

Mel--I'd never had a Pfaff until I got a used one from my Mom's sewing machine repairman after the fire. I really like the even stitch without adding a walking foot. I'm really looking forward to the new machine with the extra quilting space and the sew steady table. I was hoping it would come Friday or Saturday... sigh! Maybe Monday or Tuesday. The shop is in western Oklahoma, and I'm in eastern Kansas--both of us in the middle of Nowhere.

EDIT: Tracking shows tomorrow (Tuesday) before end of day.

My machine is "on vehicle and out for delivery" by end of day. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Just ordered the book! Will be looking forward to January. Things I learned from the SBS quilt ...... 1. Pay attention so your blocks end up the same size ( some of mine were pretty far off) and 2. Don't stress, have fun!

Just got home from a 4 month Motor home trip to the mountains here in AZ. First thing I did was order my book and just got a notice that it has shipped. So I am ready to go.

Well I broke down and bought. border and lattice fabric to help me pick fabrics from my stash for the blocks. What can I say. I am weak.

I am really looking forward to this. I hope I can keep up.
