I have to walk back and forth gathering up 2 kindergarten kids at a time to test then take them back to their rooms. All that walkin in flat sandals has killed my feet this week. Today I wore sneakers like keds and not as bad but I am dead dog tired:)

Izzy

Nothing is close to my room. K all the way on other side of building and so is my copy machine on the very opposite farthest corner from my room. Our building is a big H I am at the lover left leg of that H Kindergarten upper left leg and copier is upper right leg LOL if that helps visualize it:))

Izzy - I am so sorry about all the walking. My PT guy has been on my case about my shoes - LOL! Said I should look into Birkenstocks - Oh My - expensive. So I think I will find something else. I hope you have a great year with your students. I know they will love you :)

Mary - Love the colors in your blocks. Lovely choices!! Is that 8 sets??

I plan on making mine on Thursday. Who knows - might entice Ysabel to join me in making hers :) :);

WOWZERS those are some pretty blocks. This is making me want to make a quilt using these two blocks from my scrap stash. How pretty. Keep sewing girls and you will find a pretty reward at the finish line:))

You are right Izzy and they stitch up in so little time especially if you have been cutting down your stash scraps in blocks or strips along the way. Preparation for the future is so important. I hope I will remember to share a picture of Jamie's stash preparations for the future :) :) and the quilt she has made from some of them - WOW!!!!

It's hard to believe that we are now half way through August. Teresa, you have plenty of time to finish your blocks. Don't worry, you will get it done.

We all appreciate what you do to offer us this Lotto. You are like Izzy, such a busy day and always doing something wonderful for others and putting yourself second.

I hope some of our new found friends will hop in here and join us this month. This is an easy block set.

What a great way to put our colorful scraps to good use.

Now: It's time for me to jump in and try my luck at making a bribe.
It is impossble to compete with Izzy on the poems. She is such a little gem, when it comes to making up lovely poems.

Shelly, your poem is great, too. I just couldn't get my brain in gear.

So here it goes: Hope you enjoy, oh hand of the picker!!!

A poet, I am NOT
But time and fabric, I GOT!
Teresa gives us great block ideas and rules to go by,
Then off to our cutting and sewing, we fly.
Pick out the scraps and sort the treasure,
Follow the steps and be sure to measure!
Always be careful of the 1/4" seam
Or your design won't come out and you will scream!!
Don't want to "unsew", so do it just right,
Take you time, it will look pretty and bright.
I love all the colors, red, pink, blue, yellow and lime.
Oh yes, Summertime, Summertime, Summertime.

Let's all hope the luck will be GOOD.
Picker, pick me, I wish you would!!!

Hugs to you, Teresa, for all these successful Lottos. You do just a great job and deserve lots of praise.

Velda

Edited to correct my spelling. UGH! I hate when that happens. LOL
HUGS, 💕 Vel
