AARRGGHH! AARRGGHH!! Need to vent!

My plan to escape the end of this week blew up - was seriously thinking about going to Alexandria Bay to celebrate Bernie's birthday on the 3rd (which we did the last two years) and stay for the 4th and the weekend. Issues: Robbyn has a parade the 2nd and then one on the 4th. OK she could get a ride for the 4th. BUT her friend is picking her up after the parade on the 4th and are keeping her at the Potter farm til God knows when! So I either get a puppy sitter for Cleo or don't go as I was going to take Jimmy to keep me safe and be my company. Probably just as well......heavy sigh.........the Potters are really interfering with my life.


But then again - I am a 52 year old woman, twice widowed. Why am I allowing a 15 year old to dictate my life??? When did this happen? Why is this OK??? If I want to go away for the weekend, I should be able to go away for the weekend and she should be able to accept some responsibility. I guess I have spoiled my kids too much and am now paying the price!

Ditto on that hug, Deb...We all have spoiled our kids, and then come along the grands and that's even worse....Sorry to hear you can't do what you want to do.....

Sending you lots of hugs. My hubby and I are having family issues and are just fed up with them. As my mother in-law used to say about her grandkids "I love them but, sometimes I don't like them".
