SUPPER CLUB - Fri, April 25th
Can you believe April is almost over? Almost time to get out those capri's and sunglasses!
CALIF CAROL - how far is Lori's quilt show from you? She is always making pretty things. Hope you get to go! Sorry about the water. I'd have share with you if I could.
LADY CAROL - oh my - over 2,000 pieces! How do you keep them all straight? Have you started sewing them yet? I'll check out Izzy's photo.
IRISH - I dice leftover ham and freeze it in 1-cup pkgs for later use. That's the problem with ham - it lasts forever! I buy it by the 3-slice package at Costo an one slice lasts us for four meals! I don't know what I'd do anymore with a whole ham!
Tonite, we're having leftover meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad, and green beans. But tomorrow, now that Irish has reminded me, we're having ham and eggs!

Carol, I looked up those photos. Wow!! Joan's was there, too. You are right - we were on the road when Izzy posted hers. So that's the pattern you are doing? What are your colors? Now I'm tempted!! Oh, I can't be tempted!! But I am . . . .

Will probably have steak for dinner, with asparagus and maybe a salad.
MaryZ - I'm very interested in the quilts y'all are talking about. If you find the posts will you tell me where, I would like to see too.

Good afternoon from rainy, dreary, chilly, SW. Pa.....Not a good day here in the "burgh".....
Mary, I have a feeling I'll be putting the rest of the ham in the freezer...And I only got a small (1/3 or one) but they do go on forever.....
Sorry to say, it's not a good day along with the weather....Our 2nd son is having open heart surgery, now as I type...They started this morning at 7:45 and said it would take at least 8 hours....He had had open heart about 5 years ago and they put in a ceramic valve and he's developed an infection around it and now they have to remove and replace it, using a human valve this time.....Being it's taking so long, he and his wife didn't want Jim and I to be sitting there all day so we're waiting until he's in recovery or back in his room...Doctor said he'll be sitting in a chair tonight.....He's been my miracle boy and I do have faith he'll come through this...
So, no dinner plans for tonight...It might be at home, it might be at the hospital, it might be somewhere in between, who knows......
Enjoy your day.....

Good Evening All.....yet another wet and soggy day......and nippy too.........
Maryz...I don't know how I came to overlook Joan"s quilt....but isn't that something else....wow...go on....give it a go and join me in a breakdown somewhere in those two thousand odd tiny pieces.....have done the 4 patch....the 54/40 (had a headache after those)....the chevrons(bigger headache)sewed half the wrong way round....had to start again.....doing half square triangles and pinwheels now.....not looking foreward to the Split Triangle Unit.....that probably will see me off to the funny farm !!.....doing it in Bonnie colours.....Blue Orange Cream Green yellow.....as I was cutting the pieces I used the girly hair clips....the one like the Binding Clips....in our 99p shops there are 30 on a card....I got 10 cards worth.....they make counting easier.....
LYNN.....if you go to PHOTOS PAGE 5 you will see IZZY and JOANS quilts from the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt from December....they are both absolutely gorgeous.....saw your Kaylyns x-rays....she has such a lovely brave smile....makes you want to cuddle....but dare not for pain......
Maryz.....on Bonnie Hunters page(think it is Quiltville and Quips) under the heading Celtic Solstice there are the instuctions in weekly parts that I was able to print off
OK ....todays menu....before I am totally off my head.....Tomato and Basil Soup(because it was chilly today) Pork Pie Salad and Bread and Butter Pudding......
Becca.....Going for it.....but will I still be sane afterwards.....
Carol

Good afternoon,
Oh Dorothy, prayers for a quick and easy recovery.
I am behaving here today, the kids invited themselves out for dinner, they want my polenta, so that's what I am doing. Serving with it, chicken caccitorre, tossed salad and caramel swirl brownies with burnt almond fudge ice cream. Ned to get going on prep work,
Enjoy,
Jana

Good Evening Everyone!
Maryz - the quilt show is about 35 miles from me, however I will be visiting my Mom and she is closer.
I love ham! I made Navy Bean and Ham Soup the other night and that is what we had for dinner tonight. This week we ate ham sandwiches, ham salad sandwiches, ham and scalloped potatoes. We had less than 4 lbs to start and there is only a small piece left. I will be making more ham salad for sandwiches with it for lunch over the weekend. It helps that both DH and I like it.
Have a great day everyone!
