Well Good Morning Cotton Pals

I have to report that My grandsons costume was the best
in the show. I also made a duck for his teacher all dressed up in
a beautiful blue dress and hat with a white pinafore.

He called me on his way home and said his teacher cried
when he gave it to her because she loved it.

I can now get back to my other projects I have two
diaper bags in the works and I have to bind my quilt.
I will be busy for a while but busy is good.

I think spring is finally on its way here.

I cant wait to plant flowers and my tomatoes.
I have to go to the garden center to see what I can treat
my soil with for the big green worms that ate half my crop last year.

Good morning Delores and those who will follow.
I started to start this morning's thread earlier but couldn't think of what to say. So, I drank my coffee to get my thoughts together. I have to drop my car at the shop to get the brakes done. After that I will come home and get to work on the braid quilt binding. Hopefully, I will get the memory quilts layered as well. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Dolores And Suzette,

Today Im off and thought I might go into the sewing room and try to figure out how to put my bird house blocks together I don't know if there will be 1 or 2 throws there is certainly enough of them.

Dolores I hope spring is on the way but the allergies are still bad have fun with the bags I will call you later.

Suzette I hope you get to work on those memory quilts also I agree with you about Jennifer's novels she is writing more into the past I want to try and get a few of her older ones that I haven't read yet and leave her new stuff alone.

Good Morning everyone.Supposed to be a real sunny warm day.

My mind is blank too Suzette.But I know I am working in flower beds.I have an obnoxious weed I have to get out before I plant the flowers.It is already thriving.

CHICKIE I leave my lantana in the ground. Do not know yet if it survived the harsh Winter.Last year it was really big like a shrub.

SUZETTE The cherry blossoms are beautiful.Always love seeing them.Our DGS used to live there.He is now in NY at NY Times.We used to go to DC every Spring to do a craft show in Arlington.

Laundry is going & after that is finished I am headed out for walk & yard work.Have a blessed day & prayers to all in need....Becca

Good morning all! The Chocolate Walk yesterday was really fun. I got lots of chocolate samples and found some interesting stores downtown. The idea of the walk was to get people downtown to the local businesses. I went to a new cheesecake shop that everyone had been talking about. I got four small tart size cheesecakes of different flavors and can't wait to try them. Also got a beautiful lace wreath at a shop I want to go back and check out more.

Smoke is doing really well. I think he is a "keeper". He is a kisser and is getting house broken pretty well.

Had my last meeting with the lawyer over DH's will and estate stuff. It really helped that we had it all laid out several years ago. I got my legal stuff all updated and paid the bill. It was very reasonable, and the lawyer was very good.

Well, got to go get some breakfast before the Master's Golf gets going today. Will try to get some sewing in while watching. Going to a Fish Fry tonight being put on by a local church to raise money to send kids to camp. Hoping tomorrow I can stay home all day.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Prayers for everyone that need them. I will be checking back today on an update on Cindyg's DH.

Good morning and happy friday...

Sharona, aren't clocks a pain.. we have a zillion of htem in the house and when the power flickers they all blink noon... I may need to borrow your hammer...not sure how to completely get rid of wood peckers.. any thing I have seen to scare the birds is quickly figured out by the birds...

Maryq.. we're right behind you.. Jerry is having to take out some sheet rock and replace some studs around our living room window.. he pulled away some carpet we had a little mold and some dry rot where the rain leaked in last year. when Jerry was spraying the mold with bleach he spilled the bleach on the carpet for a nice orange stain.. now he has to rip it up and put in laminate.. woo hoo...I never heard of gibault jeans.. we wore Dittos...

Lyn, nice fish.

Chickie, glad your pot pie was a hit.. never thought of filo dough... I also give up and let my hair be the color it wants to be.. mostly grey and brown but the underside is dark brown.. not sure why I only grey on top and not underneath.

Florence, you remember that we are always here to listen.. and if possible, help..

Dolores.. I really would like to see a picture of your duck costume.. I bet he was adorable.

Sherry, a fish fry sounds wonderful.. glad Smoke is doing well for you...

tomorrow we are going to a base ball game in San Francisco... so there won't be much sewing time.. and I am taking vacation in two weeks so will get my R&W blocks done then...

Good Morning,,,Suzette you made me laugh this morning,,,,all the talk about not remebering and then you said you were going to work on the memory quilt and that just struck me as funny...(hope it works)

Ken is off to his remodeling job and I am off to the gym DD and i shopped yesterday and us "girls" had lunch together, Sophia tires out and wants to quit shopping, but she gets a little snooze in the car. and is good togo.

I will work on my applique quilts today,,,,Pellon replaced the fusible I had trouble with and the new product (they sent me 30 yards) is much better fuses well and does not gum up the needle. So I hope to get the fusible part of the block done today and start on the tiny ohio star borders....this is block #5 of 14.
