Good Morning, Everyone!

TERESA - Our machines like what they like, don't they! Our Nolting is very happy with Sew Fine or Glide. And it lets us know if we 'feed' it anything else!

SUZ - Prayers for your hubby as he starts down this treatment path. You two have really been through a lot the past year.

LOIS - So do you like your new job? Is it fun for you? Will you always work 4 days a week?

CHRISS - have fun at the fabric sale. Where does the church get the fabric that it sells for such a low price?

LEAH - you can come work in MY yard if you're needin' to be weedin'! lol!

KATHY - bye bye! see you in a few days!

IZZY - a perfect sewing day! Enjoy!

JUDI - I was wondering how your friend was doing. Will remember her in prayer.

SHERRY - I hope this lunch gathering is more enjoyable for you that the last one!

BECCA - so nice to have such pretty recreation opportunity so close to your house!

This morning I have my mammo at the new place. Just need to locate it in the medical center. After that my day will probably be another hodge-podge of everything I've been doing the last several days. A few uglies, mop trailer floor, finish a flower bed, sew a little, read a little.

Remembering all the Ft. Hood families. So sad!

Good Morning Girls

Another quick hello this morning! A lot of snowing melting here the last couple days, but guess what... We're getting another storm and by tomorrow we're supposed to get another 3-7" of the white *%#*$(%(
Sunny on Saturday--which will be a GOOD thing as you know what that day is!

Tomorrow I work the late shift so I'll have time in the morning to chat. But I will be thinking of you all during the day today and sending lots of prayers for all in need---and even if you aren't in need... I pray anyway!

Maryz, I thought all preventative care was covered at not cost. Mammograms are considered preventative. You do have to tell them that up front though.

Izzy, I need to bind my quilt for Merryman house as well.

Maryq, I bet you are looking forward to the weekend. Hope all works out the way it's supposed to.

This is my Friday. I'm a little off, in more ways than one. lol
I have a list a mile long to do over the weekend.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

MARY Q - you have really been a snow-hog this winter. I hope this is the last you get!! I sure hope Saturday happens as planned. Have you worked out in your mind what you are going to do if it doesn't . . .?

LORI - my problem isn't the insurance not paying for the mammo - it's that when I was booted off my old insurance, the new plan they wanted to plug me into was outrageously expensive and I just couldn't afford it. So I went to a new insurance company and my old mammogram place isn't contracted with that insurance company. But at least my regular family doctor takes my new insurance.

Teresa - sorry you had so much trouble quilting. We use Bottom Line on our quilting machine, both pre-wound and self wound, and can use anything on top other than Coats & Clark. I hate sewing with Essentials by Connecting Threads but it works great (tho linty) on the quilting machine. Most of our problems with the quilting machine are operator error - LOL.

Suz - I feel so bad for your DH. I hope the treatments don't hurt or make him sick. You've done so well with yours and I'm praying for the same for your DH.

Lois - yea - it's your last day of work. Will you be sewing this weekend? What did JR do? All I remember is "Who shot JR?" from years ago - LOL.

Scrap - I'm becoming more a homebody, too. My grandson needed car insurance money for his first car so we had to take it to him last night. It was an hour round trip plus 30 minutes of chatting and it irritated me that I had to leave home to go do that. I'm bad!

Kathy - we'll see you on the back side.

Judi - who is having surgery today? And your friend with the breast cancer - bless her heart. She's really been thru the mill. Have fun at JoAnn's.....you really won't buy anything?

Izzy - you are so lucky to have a sewing day!

Sherry - as if! Enjoy your lunch and chat with your friends.

Becca - sorry your DD only has the weekend. I can relate as I'm still working. Weekends fly by.

Chriss - I like busy days at work and today will be busy for me, too. Is this church fabric quilting fabric or some of everything? Whatever - $2 per yd. is a great price.

Maryz - enjoy your hodge-podge of doing stuff today. Hope you find the place to get your mamms grammed easily - do it and get it over with. Our quilting machine likes just about everything except Coats & Clark. We do have to make tension adjustments depending on what thread we use. We have one of those Towa things for thread tension. It really helps.

Maryq - your day of freedom is drawing nigh! YEA. Sorry about you getting more of the white %^$#&*.

Lori - they consider a colonoscopy "preventative" until after your first one. If they remove just one polyp then the rest of your colonoscopies are considered "treatment" and not "preventative" so insurance won't pay as much. I swear - they will get us one way or another. Luckily my mammograms are preventative.

I'm at work. Still don't know if we will be camping this weekend. RV man will be calling Don sometime today. Camping or staying home - either way I'll be sewing. Don went to hospital yesterday for preregistering and blood work for his surgery next Wednesday. That's it for me. Haven't had much time to work on my rooster but I do get to do a smidge every day so it will be done eventually.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

First, prayers to those who need them. So much going on here, I don't know how some of you keep up like you do.

Someone asked me a question 2 or 3 days back, but I don't remember if I answered or told myself I would get back and answer, then didn't. Uffda! If I didn't answer, please ask again.

We paid the rent for the whole month of April, so guess we will be here until May 1st. Then we are planning to go through Kansas, to see in-laws, on our way to Colorado. When we get to Colorado we will have to decide which RV Park we will park this for a few days. The plumbing will have to be fixed at the house before we can stay in it.

All the drywall in my sewing room has been removed and today they should be working on the garage ceiling. I haven't heard from the insurance in over two weeks. I sent my receipts, but lady hasn't called to talk about them.

As for health insurance.....I better stay quiet, cause if I get on my soap box ya'll will be reading for days!

I'm testing out my window pane idea for my birdhouses. I will try and post a photo in that thread later today.

Don't think there will be any boating or wetting of lines today. It has been very windy all week and the rest of the week doesn't look good either.

Good morning! We had tornado watches last evening, but all the weather including any rain drops went around us.

Teresa—what a learning experience you are having! Hope you aren’t hurting today! I love the monkeys, and my DD will be thrilled after the one I had for her burned before I got the binding on it.

Suzette—I hope your DH will sail through his treatments! The shooting is so awful. I know you will make beautiful memory quilts!

Lois—how nice to have the 4-day workweek. You have an extra treat to watch for with the bird houses. They are all so cute.

Scrap—I got my bed made today because Odie got up when I did. Usually he doesn’t get up until 10:00 and I can’t make my bed until then. Hope you are warming soon—you are in the plusses now.

Kathy—we will miss you!!! Take care!

Judi—The question is… Can you go to JoAnn’s and come home with nothing??? Glad to hear you are feeling better! So sorry your weather is disintegrating. Brrrr! Prayers for the surgeries!

Izzy—You make me dizzy listening to all you are doing! We can use some rain. I’ll probably be out helping DH today if it doesn’t rain here.

Sherry—enjoy your day out with friends!

Becca—I remember playing in pine needles in McLaren park in San Francisco. I love the big pine trees with the long needles. Your mending sounds like mine—everyone else… mine is last resort.

Chriss—have a great day! Hope you find some bargains when you go to the sale! Funny that it is at a church!

MaryZ—good luck with your new mammo place! I hate trying to get new doctors and facilities. My life is a hodge podge, too!

MaryQ—It’s time to quit on the s%#@*! I’ll be hoping the weatherman blows his forecast and you don’t get it.

Lori—I think the insurance companies have their preferred providers and can dictate where you go and who you see. They also have to be coded as “screening” to get it free.

Lyn—where in Kansas will you be going? I’m glad to hear things are progressing on your home.

Cindy—our insurance calls us and tells us to have certain procedures done. Best wishes to Don! I’m glad you are getting your hip checked out.

Time to find my face and get busy here for a bit before DH returns.

Enjoy today!

My prayers to the families and fellow servicemen at Fort Hood. My son is stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas so I can only imagine what those families are feeling.

Good morning -

I slept in and now am so behind. I was up until 2 - thought of posting but ran out of words. We've got at least 7" of snow and it is still coming down. Just the tiniest breeze brings whiteout conditions.

Have a lovely! Xoxo Sharona

Good early afternoon from semi sunny, still chilly, SW Pa...And I think that rain will be moving in this afternoon..Of course it will, we have a ball game scheduled and also a lacrosse game to see......

Well, our 3rd eagle egg has hatched and is eating...What a sight to see! When I checked earlier, there were over 10,000 viewers glued to their computers...To watch this pair of eagles and how attentive they are, almost brings tears to your eyes....If only we had more humans like these 2.....

And so very sad to hear about the shootings...Along with those who were shot, you have to feel sorry for the shooter and his family...He must have been hurting so badly to do such a terrible thing....My thoughts and prayers are offered along with the rest.....

Well, ladies, you'll be happy, I've finally come out of the closet! But, I'm not done yet...Yesterday, I started painting the walk in in the bedroom and got Jim's side finished...It was a challenge because the closet extends back under the roof and for me to get that painted was a sight, I'm sure...There were times when I thought I might be permanently stuck back there, paint covered and on my knees....But, before I can start again, I'm waiting for door people to come and measure for new doors...The other day, Jim asked if I wanted to ride with him to Home Depot and that's all it took...New doors, soon new windows and who knows what else....He'll think twice about asking me to go with him again.....

Lois, wasn't Dallas exciting....And you're right, like father like son.....I can't believe there's only 2 more shows, what will I do on Monday nights.....

Suzette, you really have been through the wringer, lately....Let's hope and pray the treatments for your DH go fast with perfect results.....

Jim has gone to help with the elderly bingo and so far the fur-kids are sleeping....I'm going to try to get dinner in the oven and then on to the closet......

Gotta go, truck is pulling in the driveway.......

You all have a great day..........
