Good Snowy, Rainy, Hailing Morning!!!!!

What a mouth full or mind full. When I last looked it was snowing in the front yard & hailing in the back. Winter can't decide how to leave.....LOL

Yesterday I finished my DD1's quilt...the 1980's one, it's washed & ready for the label. I miss a 2ed pair of hands & the staircase for taking photos. I think I'll have to put it on the floor to photograph it. Today I'll make a label & I really need to sew the backing so I can baste my DGD's quilt.

Suzette....good to hear the fabric/ribbon decision has been worked out. Can't wait to see it. I like the idea.

Lea....what a whimsical quilt!!

Lois....good luck with work. I'd would take a chance on your bag....it's lovely. Oh, I wish I had those bibs when my girls were little..

Izzy....what a sad start to Spring break! Good to bring you hexi's.

Becca....I have not retasted the soup. Maybe today.

Chriss...sounds like you had a wonderful sewing day, very productive.

Judi....sending healthy prayers your way (((((HUGS)))))

Lori....have a fast & smooth day.

Maryz....What a wonderful quilt you made your sister. the timing worked out well.

Cindyg....well it may not have been a good day for you but I bet Gavin had a wonderful day!

Maryq,,,,, sorry to hear about Sara's Grandmother. I just checked out shelving at DP the other day..some thing to put over the washer/dryer. A tornado will go through your house when she leaves.. I just can't wait so I can't imagine how you feel.

Dolores....a Duck........have fun.

Sharon.....have fun at the zoo.

Lyn....sorry your loosing you friends until next year.

Chickie....you have a very lucky Mon with you caring for her.

Love & Prayers to all....Kathy

Hello to all my quilty friends.

Long time "no see"! I have been lurking, though. Nothing exciting to write about, I guess.

I finally got my biopsy results from three weeks ago....nothing pathological showed up. Basically, he told me no more bleeding, no more worries! We'll see what happens...

I haven't been up to my sewing room in forever. Was going to do that this weekend but came down with a cold, so I didn't venture too far from the couch or bed. Feeling better now, so I will try to do a little each evening (working on R & W blocks).

Well, it is starting to get a little busy here at work so I better sign off for now.

Will check back later.

Hugs,
Mel

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE FEW PHOTOS SHARED, TOO BAD FOR THE DELETED ONES, BUT IT GIVES YOU AN OVERVIEW, HOW DINKY MY LITTLE HAND QUILT WAS NEXT TO SUCH ART QUILTS. Being Monday, weather *****ty, just bought a box lunch, and caught up in my sleep and cleaning duties. Back leg muscle aching due to spit of arthritis and much walking. A good feeling to have been welcomed by all those trophy ladies, to a banquet, and the joy of seeing my name in their program along with many other artists, raises the bar... Cut out my 1st quilt article, into a binder/scrapbook, for if this is as far as I get, than an improvement.

Hope you all have much fun as I have in quilt show.s

Chickie - The asbestos removal company should be removing drywall today. Once they get it removed, they will start cleaning everything. May take 2 weeks. I'm suppose to get daily reports.

YIPPEE got home early. The presenter let us out at 2 so I got home by 3:) Opened all the windows and working on some uglies so tomorrow can spend whole day outside :)

Didnt get to work on hexi only 6 of us at the training so we all sat at one table :( It was fun though. I liked the 5 teachers who came and we had working lunch and now all we have to do is implement one of the strategies and right how it worked reflection paragraph to get 8 hrs PD:)) I can do that:) so I plan to sew tonight and finish my mystery blocks.

Farrier coming tonight so hoof trimming will go on with feeding and milking tonight for goats. Winter is killer mess on their hooves. We trim spring and fall to keep their feet healthy. I trim all my lil ones and Farrier does all my big gals and bucks.

Well out I go to hang out laundry and take in 3 loads I hung out yesterday:))

Hi....

Well, my DD's quilt is done & I need a box then in the mail it goes.

Now I'll start the backing for DGD's quilt...the butterfly quilt. The backing is a lite green with the word Grandmother all over it in it's many different forms. Hope to sandwich tomorrow.
After I get the quilt sandwiched I have 2 teddy bears to make for the DGC....2 more things from the UFO cabinet.

My across the street neighbors went to FL for Jan, or so she said, They have not as yet come back... Not that they need to check in with me. I know the both have health issues I do hope they are OK. I hope they are having so much fun & want to avoid the snow.

Well I'm off it iron backing.

Kathy

Good afternoon!

Started down here early this morning, but Sarah called and wanted to go get groceries and wanted company. So I went - the grocery store that we went to was next to where my sewing machine needed to go for it's spa treatment, so we packed her up and dropped her off. So while I was there there, I decided to look for a new backup machine. I have my Featherweight to take to classes, but need one that can be here at the house and has a blanket stitch on it. I had already told DH last week that I needed another machine, so I found a gently loved one at the spa shop. It is the same one that we bought Sarah several years ago - a Pfaff Expression 2.0. All of the feet that I have for my embroidery Pfaff fit on the new machine -so nice! The new machine looks like it has never been used! Sarah is very happy too - she loves her machine and now can sew here without having to carrying hers here.

Nothing much else going on here - got the uglies caught up and dinner planned - so I can play with my new toy!

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

I won't be here first thing in the morning because I'm going to the doctor about my hip. It's a start. I hate getting old!

Hello everyone! We are on the road today. We landed now for the night. Got all set up and will be going to a restaurant for dinner. Not going to have to cook today!!!

Saying farewell this morning was a little sad. Seems like the time just flew!! Thank You, Lyn, going to miss you too.

We like to watch "The Voice" so DH is experimenting with the Antenna to see if we can find NBC. We are north of Houston for tonight at New Caney.

Just saw that a big fiery crash happened on 59 southbound near Sugar Land. We just came through there about an hour ago. They expect huge delays during the rush hour. They showed a semi hanging over the edge of a ramp. yikes! I am so glad we got here early and was not even out there on the road to see all the traffic or get into the traffic.

Saying my prayers of thanks for our safety!!

Lyn, hope you are enjoying the birdies and their houses.

Hugs to all
Velda
