Parts of our city is dealing with frozen pipes, and no running water. Now, those same people have been told to keep water running to avoid freezing.
Snow started to melt, ground still frozen, the running taps create a huge bill, and now their sour overflowed. Not to happy residents. It's only begun to melt, guess more of this will occur.
Hope our neighborhood stands out.

Good morning everyone
Today hubby has a PET scan scheduled. I am up early so I can eat something before we leave. He can't have anything to eat before the test. We were supposed to be having freezing rain this morning but so far nothing is going on. I believe this winter has lasted long enough. Hopefully after the test I can get out to my studio and work on the braid quilt. I am hoping to get it done before the 28th. I am meeting up with the lady that does my quilting and want to give it to her. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning,
Today will be another day on the road for us, landing at Tina's this afternoon to pick up our ATV. Thanks again, Tina, for storing it for us!
LEAH - sometimes the Big Thaw can cause almost as many problems as the Big Freeze! Hope your pipes are all OK!
LOIS - I've never seen a single episode of Dallas. When I hear about J.R., I always think of him as "Tony" on I Dream of Jeannie!
SUZ - hope the freezing rain stays away so you can get to the doc (and back!) safely. Saying a prayer for your hubby's test results!
Today is St. Joseph's Feast Day, the day the swallows come back to Capistrano. I would sure love to be there to see them return!
Happy Today!

Good Morning Cotton Pals
Well yesterday was a good one at the eye doctor with my husband
He saw the retna specialist and yes she was very precise and
to the point. He got a good report from her.
He did say he felt better going into Philly for the eye doctor
they are really good.
It is an hour and a half ride there but well worth it .
So now I can do some sewing today.
I have to make a trip to Joanns to get interfacing for a
couple diaper bags that I have to make.
We are supposed to have a heat wave today the temp should be
at 51.
If I never see snow again I will be happy.
Have a wonderful day

Good Freezing Morning...
Feeling pretty good woke up dreaming of my DD1 & DGC. That's how to wake with a smile. I finished my R/W blocks & cleaned up the sewing room a little.
OMG.....the radio just said people on some island saw a low flying jumbo jet where there shouldn't have been one. This thing it too weird. All those people.
I've said it twice before but I am going to vac today. I'm starting to leave foot prints in the dust. Then I'll make 2 cute 8" cloth bunnies for my Grands for Easter. I'm down 9lbs on my scale. Happy, Happy!!!!!
Lea....I do hope you luck out with your pipes. Did you have to run your water? I never knew that helped.
Suzette....saying prayers for you & DH. Sorry about that freezing rain. I love snow but not freezing rain. One more quilt coming to an end.
Lois.....how did I miss that, there being a 'new' Dallas. I never watched the old one but it sure was a big huge hit. Maybe Santa will bring it to you next Christmas....put it on your list.
Maryz....I'm thinking of the Willie Nelson song "On the Road Again" & you. Praying for a smooth ride home. What a sight to see all the swallows flying.
Dolores....I'm happy to hear you DH had a good Dr visit. Happy sewing.
Love & Prayers to all in need........Kathy

Good Morning Everyone!
Maryz: Happy Trails as you find your way home!
Leah: dripping faucets do help keep pipes from freezing. It really won't impact your water bill, though, it isn't a large flow of water. Just keeping movement in the pipes, keeps them from freezing solid and breaking. We have had to do that in our RV before. Also in extreme winters back when we had the house in Illinois. Hope you get through it all OK.
Kathy: Didn't hear any thing on TV about anyone spotting a huge plane over an island??? Wonder if that was some misinformation. Lots of that going on. Sure wish they could solve this mystery. I feel so bad for the families of the passengers.
Dolores: Glad DH had a good report!!!
Suzette: Prayers for your DH. Just so much going on with our families on here.
Prayers for all of our friends and their families. Also my heart is filled with love for Scrappy Pat and her family.
Just had a reminder that Homegirl/Judy from Illinois has a Happy Birthday Day today!! I got to meet her in person. What a great gal she is. I wish she would join us here more often and share in our fun.
Happy Birthday, cotton pal!!!!
Today is Wednesday and our sewing group day. I have to miss today, as we have plans to spend the day with some friends from Illinois who also winter down here. They will be heading north soon and want to get together for lunch and spend the afternoon together. I am going to really miss seeing my sewing pals today. I always enjoy seeing what others are working on and just the social part of visiting and chatting with one another.
Hope you all get time to sew and work on projects that are fun and relaxing.
Happy Day!!!!!

Good Morning Girls
Just a brief hello this morning as I have to jump in the shower soon and get ready for work. We got about 5" of snow last night, but they say it's supposed to melt by the weekend. YIPPEE... the roads are plowed so it shouldn't be too bad a drive to work this morning.
Wish I could stay and chat with you... so many catching up to do with all of you.. But I am off tomorrow and after I run a few errands--post office and oil change I'm coming home to sew!
You ALL are in my prayers today.... for safe travels, good reports from doctors, happy days and lots of sunshine!
See you tomorrow!
