Update:

I've pulled some flowers from my stash...
looked at the directions..
scratched my head in confusion..
trying to figure out directions

how to cut each piece...

hhmm

somebody help me please?

I need 4 pieces 7x10 that part I got
and 4 pieces 3x10

but how big is the center square?

I think I can figure it out from there..
Hope to get in the sewing room this after noon!

Mary, I agree, that is a little unclear. That is the next part I was going to try and figure out. When I do, I will get back to you, in the meantime, hopefully somebody else can help?

Let me see if I can help:

The center square is cut at 4 1/2 You will add a path strip that is 2 inches in width (cut size) around all 4 sides of the center block, squaring to Teresa's 7 1/2 inches.

Hope that helps
Jana

Maryq, if you watch the video you'll see how the block goes together. The tricky part for me was that the frame around the center 41/2 square is made of 2 inch strips, and the other part of the block uses 21/2 inch strips.

IT'S SAID THAT I CAN BE A DAISY OR A SUNFLOWER, BUT I LIKE TO THINK OF MYSELF AS A YELLOW ROSE, FOR THAT'S MY FAVORITE FLOWER. THERE ARE MANY ROSES IN A VARIETY OF COLORS AND TYPES, BUT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ALL, FOR ME, IS THE LONG STEM YELLOW ROSE.
I HAVE A ROSE GARDEN,
THE RED ROSE, SO SERIOUS, SO PASIONATE
THE PINK ROSE, SOFT AND GENTLE AND SWEET
THE LILAC ROSE IS A BIT GLOOMY AND SAD,
THE ORANGE ROSE IS SPARKY AND HAPPY
THE WHITE ROSE IS LIGHT AND AIRY
THE RED ROSE IN THE INSIDE AND WHITE ON THE OUT SIDE IS A TEASE WITH A FLARE OF CHARM TO IT
THE NEXT FAVORITE IS THE YELLOW ORANGE ROSE, IT'S UNIQUE AND EXQUISITE, THE FAGRANCE JUST SENDS YOUR SENSES IN A SWIRL.
DID I MENTION THAT THE YELLOW ROSE WAS MY FAVORITE (SMILE),ALL THE BEAUTY IN ALL THE ROSES ARE REPRESENTED IN THE YELLOW ROSE...FOR ME OF COURSE!

Ysabell I had a rose garden at my old house and I agree the yellow just stands out:) I have yet to get a rose garden here. Soil is bad will need to work on that. I do have some rose bushes that my DH and son have bought me for mothers day is past they are all red. I want this year yellow ones to offset them:)) we shall see if I get my wish.

Your post is poetic in its visual sense:))) I would give you two tickets for the great use of all our senses. I am sure we all felt like we have seen your rose garden:)

Izzy ( I know I feel better from just reading it:) )

Aunt Jana - How sad to be allergic to Roses but how wonderful that there are millions of other flowers to bless your heart.

Izzy - Right there with you about Ysabel's poem. I pictured a HUGE Vase filled with a rose of every color.

Ysabel - Beautiful, Beautiful expressive poem. What a Perfect way to describe the colors. I do agree - 2 tickets!!!
