Thursday, March 13 - Friday Eve!!

Good morning everyone.
It has been a long night here. The wind is howling!! I am sure there is all kinds of stuff out in the road. They had to close one of the airports here for about an hour.
Yesterday I finished the braids for the Braid in a Day quilt. Now I have to cut the borders for it. Maybe today after work. We went to hubby's dr appointment. He has to have a colonoscopy and while they are in there check and see how involved the cancer is. The course of treatment right now is radiation, maybe surgery, maybe chemo. It is up to the oncologists. Here I thought we were done with doctors. We will make it. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Suzette and all who follow,

Same thing here lots of wind very cold so I will dress for it also they have air condition on and I was so cold yesterday I had to put my coat on.

Today when I get home from work I will pack for the weekend.

Suzette so sorry to here about your DH I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

It has been a non-stop 2 all nighters to be able to get the Marvel Comic quilt in the mail by today for DGS 5th birthday on Sunday. He won't be back home (visiting up North. Please keep them in your prayers for traveling) until next Wednesday but I can say I got it there on time. I even left some days in case of bad weather. I am exhausted. It is really not wise to pull all-nighters when the time changes
It is now time to fire up Annabelle and get the Braid Finished. Sis comes on the 22nd and today is only the 13th but I have to remember that time flies when you are having fun!!!

SP's - need 6 updates. Mailing day is Monday especially with the weather being so terrible.

Suzette - I am so sorry to hear of your DH's Cancer. I know I have been a hit and miss lately. He is in my prayers immediately.

Lois - What are you doing for the weekend.

Vicky - Can you link me to the Blue Shakepeare Quilt you made. TY!

I am off to bed right now as the sleeping pill is kicking in and the room is starting to go round and round.

Good Morning Cotton Pals

Well the weekend is approaching quick and my suitcase
is almost packed.

I finished my quilt top yesterday and I am really pleased at the was it came out.

I took pictures with my I pad but I don't think I can p[ost them here. from the ipad.

I will have to use my camera and then post them to photo bucket.

I know its supposed to be cold when we go to Lancaster but that is ok
because we will be playing with lots of cotton.

Next Tuesday we will be going back to Wills 'Eye for my husband.


The wind has been blowing all night and it is really cold again.

It did rain yesterday but as long as it was rain and not snow I am good with that.

I cant wait until the weekend it seems like it came fast.

They had sale on soft chocolate ice cream yester, bought two, yes all the chocolate chips and more chocolate whip, just stopping by on way to bathroom.. That ice cream is so good..

Having posted my job profile on internet, I am getting more recognition in the hidden job market.. Received 2 calls from nothing before.. Maybe this habit of 50+ going back to work, will be finally recognized.

SUZ - I know your hubby had a dr appt yesterday but I didn't catch what was going on. Now you're talking cancer treatment. For his leukemia??

LOIS - we had wind from Tues night thru much of yesterday. It must have blown itself all the way to the east by now! Sorry 'bout that. Exciting to pack for your weekend!

TERESA - glad you finished that quilt in time. Now you can enjoy doing the next one.

DELORES - you will have so much fun rolling in all that cotton with your sis! What is your hubby's eye problem that he keeps going back to the eye hosp. I miss a lot of details when we travel and I can't get on here every day.

SCRAPS - ice cream AND 2 job possibilities - you had a red-letter day! Hope something comes from the jobs.

CINDY - have you heard how Vicky is doing? Give her a hug for me - on her good side! Prayers for Don. Glad he's go the go-ahead for his surgery. Are making him one of your men's cancer quilts?

CHRISS - sanity? Me??? Where's the fun in that? And yes, I do have my kit of those 1/4" hexies with me. I can work on those in the truck even with a 25# dog on my lap! I had to put them aside for a couple years because my hands were so bad, but I'm all better now!

CHICKIE - your sis wants your mom to make her 18 placemats? Did I read that correctly? I can barely get through a set of four!

VICKY - did you get snow? How's Harley coming?

MARY Q - loved your quilt! Only 18 days until April 1st. Maybe you should put a big calendar on the fridge and show the days being marked off to "your new sewing room"! And make a note that if you don't have your new sewing room by April 2nd, rent will triple. And laundry will be $10/load.

Today I'm going to spend much of the day cooking - cleaning green beans, slicing strawberries, fixing spareribs. Going to DD's late this afternoon and taking supper and our friends. Other than that, I might get out my long ignored cross=stitch project and/or read my book. I feel so light and free with that Jane on my back!

Maryq I agree with Maryz. I am afraid I would not have your patience. Her tush would have been out the door.

Good Morning everyone.A cold Winter morn after a howling nite & some light snow.Our power stayed on but lots are without.

MARilYNsGRAMMY Yes the little ones are all cousins.My DS#1 has 4 boys & 3 are expecting.His family is growing fast.

Good morning. Home today I am getting old and falling apart LOL sore foot cant walk on it without excrucitating pain. I have always had bad feet: breaks, sprains, muscle tears, tendons pulled from bone you name it. This time its my arch so its wrapped and elevated. Trying to stay off it some. Yeah right gotta make some food for funeral this afternoon and go to funeral later.

Did sleep pretty well last night. Fell asleep around midnight and up at 6:) thats decent:)

MaryZ - hubby has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell skin cancer. It is on his bum. In his case it was likely caused by the chemo he took for his Luekemia.
