Tuesday, March 4th
Good morning everyone.
It has been a long night here. Hubby came home from work early sick to his stomach. The university feeds the guys when they have to push snow. They eat in the food court where the kids eat. Well, hubby thought the food didn't taste right. He has been up and down all night. This morning we meet the person doing our settlement at Panera Bread. Just what he needs. I hope it doesn't take long. I am still plugging along on the binding for the baby quilt. Some days I still get tired but it is getting better. My skin is another story but it will get better soon. We have icy roads today but they have been plowed. Have a wonderful day.

Re: Tuesday, March 4th
Good Morning Suzette and all who follow,
Today is back to the training center I hate to say it but I missed going yesterday I just hope I can remember what I learned last week LOL.
Well I Hate to admit it Suzette but I was in the part of NJ where the storm only left a dusting and we were bracing for the 10" mark glad that it didn't happen my DH needs a break from shoveling .
Yesterday I went to the Verizon store my cell phone when out and wouldn't come back on and I pray that it stays alive until the contract ends I have insurance but they told me in order to get a new one I would have to call and have them send me one and when I asked how come they wouldn't give me one right there and then she said they just stopped doing that then she told me oh you can get a new one and make payment for 24 months all there phone are 599.00 and if I wanted one for free I just had to get another 2 year contract well in the mean time she opened the back of my phone took out the battery put it back in and it was working fine so I guess she was out of a sale.
Suzette be careful on the icy roads and hope your Hubby feels better and Good Luck on your REfi.
I hope Everyone Has A Great Day.
Prayers Go Out To All In Need.

Lois - I know that cell phones have become a part of our lives but I sometimes feel like it is crooked. More then likely the phone you would get if they sent you a new one is not brand new. It is refurbished. That has happened to my son a couple of times. One time he had given me one of his phones and it was sitting on the dining room table. It was on. On its own it dialed my husband's phone. It was time to get a new one needless to say.

Good Morning everyone...up at 4am this morning Oh I wish I could sleep. It's 7.7 degrees here this morning, everything that melted yesterday is frozen solid.
Things are getting back to normal here, it's been a long 13 1/2 years with my Mom. Taking care of her became more than DH and I could accomplish. She isn't doing as well--her congestive heart failure seems worse, her balance is worse, and her memory comes and goes. She is in a facility 4 miles away and I miss her, but I can visit most days and talk to her each day.. It's been hard. I down in the dumps
Please pray for me, I have a doctor appointment today and I dread it. So many aches and complaints. I feel as if something may really be wrong.

Good Morning!
Icy here! DD had to close both branches of her Library until noon. Our trailer steps are little sheets of ice. So thankful she won't be out on the roads until it warms up.
SUZ - your poor hubby! Mine got bad eggs once - He's never been that sick before or since. Glad you're getting some of your strength back. Good luck on the re-fi.
LOIS - If you missed going to your training, you are blessed! It must be a good job! Our friend needed some phone help and some items and went to the AT&T store last week. The clerk had no idea what she was talking about and said they didn't have the items. Our friend called AT&T and they said said sure they had those things. Back to the store, get a supervisor, and sure enough - all she needed was there. The take-away here is don't trust 'em when they say, "no, we don't have that but you can buy this instead!"
TESS - I'm so sorry about your mom. I went through the same thing with my dad. But we just couldn't care for him any longer. He even got too much for home health care aides. I felt guilty, but we were out of options. It was better for him. good luck at the doctor's.
Yesterday I made 9 Dear Jane blocks. A record!! Today will be more DJ for me, I guess. The weather is keeping us huddled inside. Bill's temp job didn't pan out. Apparently, the company had enough workers in their temp pool that they didn't need to bring a new one in after all. But it would have been nice if they'd been up front with him. They let him believe he would be hired just to keep him handy. Because of them we signed a month lease on this expensive RV space to be within commuting distance to that job.
We start for home 2 weeks from today. I'm excited about that. My neighbor has crocus blooming in her yard and the daffodils aren't far behind. It was in the 50's there the last few days!
That's all folks!

Re: Tuesday, March 4th
Happy cloudy Tuesday from Indiana.
Our temp is at 7 right now but they promise it will get warmer!! If these clouds go somewhere else, the sun will shine and all will be right with my world - kind of. DH stills feels sick. The doctor put him on an antibiotic and if it works - great. If not, back in the hospital we go. At least, he will be at our local one which is about 1 1/2 miles from home. If they can't take of it here, the next closest is about 25 miles.
DD and DGS will be over for a bit this morning so I have to pick up my sewing, knitting, and crocheting to keep it out of DGS's way. He likes to help and at times, well he is almost 3 and love to help.
Suzette - Hope your hubby feels better VERY soon. Be sure to tell the food court about his illness because it might be something that other people are dealing with. And, just like Lois said, be very careful driving to your appointment this morning.
Lois - Verizon can be very tricky. We just had a big issue with them and a bill. It is a long story but it involves crediting our check to a closed account. If it weren't for the fact that the other carriers don't work well in this area, we would be tempted to change.
Tess - So sorry to hear about your mother's health. Watching our family members go through all of this is so very stressful. Hopefully your doctor's appointment will go well and you can get answers.
Time to get going. I have a ton of uglies to take care of and seeing our DGS this morning is going to make our day much brighter.

Re: Tuesday, March 4th
We are up to 4 this morning.
I plan to stay in the house today. The trip out to feed the chickens and fill the bird feeders was enough for me!
I started the wings on my Harley eagle yesterday
Have a great day and stay warm,
Vicky

Good morning,
Tina, sorry about the stones. I understand they are very painful...smooches to Easton and Miss Jaz...
Kathy, paint will really change the look of your sewing room.. I love a light aqua...
Cindy.. how is Don.. what's the latest?
Jana..when you're done with Sarah send her here, my room shouldn't be hard to organize it's only 10x10. Jerry told me I would need to set up a temp. sewing station while he re-does my room.. I think after I make my red/white blocks he can have the room.. but first I need to figure out shelving and cutting/sewing areas.
Izzy http://www.fabshophop.com/fabsearch.asp ... search.asp this link will let you search for fabric from a zillion fabric shops.
Diana, hope DH is ok.. keep us updated...have a fun DGS day.. 3 is the perfect helping age...
Suzette, why is the re-fi called a settlement? is it a court thing? hope DH feels better.
Lois.. that contract stuff is so what I hate about cell phones... I am so tempted to cancel ours once the contract is up.. we really don't use it much and it is so annoying to be someplace where someone is talking on their phone.. people ask what I would do in an emergency and my response is I'd do the same thing I did before cell phones.
Tess, you will be in my prayers... wish I could give you a real hug but can only send you positive thoughts..
Maryz.. sorry.. or not sorry about the job.. sounds like they aren't people I would want to work for...two weeks till you head home....won't it be nice to get there.. are you any where near where the dam is leaking in WA?
has anyone seen Karlene?
hope you all have a great day.
Chriss

Re: Tuesday, March 4th
Good morning another snow day this is now number 15. 3 weeks of makeup we will be doing. For yesterday and today they are taking away Oaks day and Memorial day. Good at least no more June days.
I hate cell phones. Gave mine up a year ago half the time had no idea where it was LOL Most of the time it was dead in bottom of purse or car floorboard. I have a land line and love it. Answering machine too so I can screen calls. No extras and only may 20 bucks a month. Yup I am Cheap lol
Tess so sorry to hear you had to put mom in a facility; but sometimes we can only do what we can and then we need help. Luckily my parents still live at home 80 and 81 but I call them daily when home and not at work. I know the day is coming I too will have to care for them. My dear dad is in bad shape battling skin cancer and arthritis. Each month he has new places pop up on his face hands and head and each month dermatologist removes them. Luckily superficial so far but I worry about a spot on his ear. He goes this month for that one. Mom is in good shape. Snow kept her from her final appt with cancer dr. She had breast cancer 3 yrs ago. If all clear this time they were releasing her now she has to reschedule.
Sewing on last week of SBS blocks today and putting together quilt for Merryman house donation for Paducah.
DD up and ready to go. Drank half pot coffee already so I should be ready to go too. Going to get uglies done so DH has no worries if I go to conference tomorrow. We will see if roads improve or not.
Maryz sorry about DH temp job. so you have to stay for month where you are. Where is that your camped at with ice I forgot. LOl go somewhere warm. I thought thats what people do with campers LOL I sure would. Like grammie in florida on beach. CA on beach maybe where its warm too.
Suzzette hope your DH feels better and you get refinance done:)
Diana and Sooz your DHs too. Man alot of men sick worse than a baby:)) I feel for all you gals:)
Lea where are you? Your not a Popsicle are ya?
Vicky stay warm are your chicks laying in this cold. Mine finally started laying again.
God bless and happy thoughts
Izzy
