I am taking a break from the baby quilt. I got the label made, the quilt is about 3/4 of the way done. In a few my break will be over and I will head back out. I am having a hard time believing the weatherman. I was in the studio with the door wide open. Right now it is 55.6 and the sun isn't even out. As far as re- doing the floor in my studio, we have several stores around here called Re-store. They benefit Habitat for Humanity. When you for example re- model your house and have extra stuff you can give it to them and they sell it and make money for the homes they build. Yes, you do have to keep looking. It's like a thrift store. Some days you won't find anything. Other days you will find lots of stuff. Well, back out to my studio. Have a great afternoon.

Still sick...can't seem to sit up for longer than 30 min. It's hubbies birthday and it looks like chicken soup from a can for both of us. I hate being sick...all I can do is think of all the things I could be working on if I felt better.

Suzette--we shopped the ReStore in Joplin when we were building our house. We found several cool things to get. We also used "cast offs" from our friends' remodeling projects. It's fun to look at the ReStore.

Sooz--so sorry you are still sick. You didn't get Vicky's bug, we hope!!!

Lyn--glad you are taking a break! How nice to have your friends helping you with the estimates and needs to be done.

Q7/Carol--so glad to hear you are getting some rain! Hopefully you will save your trees and fruit! Are you in any mudslide danger?

Chriss--I echo Carol's statements about Marilyn! You and Jerry have made wonderful parents. Hope Marilyn's school report will put you over the top on the adoption and just blow the social worker's socks off! Happy Birthday to Marilyn!!!

I think I have most of my chores finished today; now I'm ready to sweep the floors and maybe have time to do some hand quilting. I decorated a cookie for our 13-yr-old grandson's birthday today. DH is out delivering it now and will stop at DS1's where some of the guys are hanging out.

It's cold, but our forecast is now for only 1" accumulation.

Happy afternoon!

Farmchick - No, we are in no danger of mudslides. The danger is in the foothills on the other side of the LA Basin where there have been fires in recent years. I cannot fathom why anyone would buy a house expecting a catchbasin to catch all the debris and water from a rainstorm. We could have a landslide, but it is highly unlikely.

Chriss - I am so glad about Marilyn. My son was under an IEP in school and he did wonderful. He finally learned how to learn. He is now a Pharmacy Tech and does wonderfully.

Well, the baby quilt is now a TV project. I even have the binding turned to the back and clipped. I am losing steam so I have put it away. Please say some prayers that this storm passes us by. Rain I can stand but more snow means I more then likely will have another day added to my treatment next week. I know that it is needed but I am not dealing real well with being tired.

Have a wonderful evening.

Today was a great day.. I got to do some sewing..YEAH!! Snow stopped, we got about 8 inches here in Big Bear, but it was a wet snow. Think of a partially melted slurpee. But we will take what we can get. More rain, possible, at end of month.

Theresa I had dry socket years ago, I feel your pain.

Stay warm everyone.
