Chriss - I sent a PM to Cathy inviting her to the Lotto's. Hope she joins us. Is she a Newbie or has she posted in other place like Chit Chat. I know it took me a bit to learn about having Coffee and Tea with you all in the morning - wee hours of the night for me

Izzy - I hear you on trying to find a red and even a white. I have a mixture of reds and reds with a tint of dark-orange. I had to seperate them before I went nuts. That and my pile of whites and what I thought were whites but turned out to be white with a hint of cream. And don't get me started on what you think is a white on white but turns out to be the palest of yellows on whites - Ahhhhhhhhhh! LOLOLOL!!!
I am sure you will find the perfect red and white to share with us

I will make a test block. I am waiting for sharonkl to measure hers to see if its 12 or 12.5 if the first then I have to select another block to make. HUMMMMMM darn.

Teresa, I don't know Cathy... that is why I suggested to her that she join the lotto and post more often so we can get to know her..it's sad we have to do this but remember when someone came and hosted swaps and then poof, blocks went missing? that lady not only kept many blocks intended for swaps but she took a lot of trust... sad that people do this to other people... and for what? fabric.. loony tunes...

Izzy, if you sew two threads to the right... move your needle right two clicks it should give you just enough...

I think I will square up my half square triangles and try to make one block...

YEAH its 12.5 and I know its red and black but I did it in some scraps to test it out. Washing my red now:)) will then make all of you one of these hunter star blocks in red and white:)) this one stretched cause not cut on lengthwise grain so yours will look a lot nicer:))

GREAT BLOCKS so far!!! I am getting excited!!!!!

I will be making the Day and Night Block using only Red and White. Decided not to use a print for a 3rd color. I love the options of making 3 different kind of blocks because of the way you cut it.

Will post a block after I go see the dentist Monday 8am and I feel like I have a clear head. I don't trust myself right now with a rotary cutter. Pain and sleeping pills and cutters do not mix.

Pinterest has sucked me in to it's world.. they have so many pretty red and white blocks and quilts there..

I have always wanted a red and white quilt and with you all making the blocks it will have way more variety than I could have ever done myself...
