satellite group

Someone asked about what is? Satellite.. Members belong to a quilt guild, and meet as per policy of guild. Then, some ladies in say South end of city or all ladies in the dwnt area, meet every week.

They make their own rules: it can range from potluck, and talk quilt, to travel in group to/fro shopping, to make donation quilts for needed, some get tog chat, and work on own projects, others are a bigger satellite group and teach workshops to the guild.

Satellites are called upon by the guild to contribute time or gifts to huge shows... It could be just networking through internet usage, but main goal is to learn some technique or skill about quilting.

Some do mystery quilts, or round robins.. Your familiar with round robins? No? I'll explain later if need.. See I have been for you right now, some learning info, (satellite work)
