My DH's doctor's assistant called and told him that, after reading the results of his biopsy, the doctor would want to see him AND me ASAP. Our appointment is Monday at 4:15.

Good Afternoon Girls
Just a quick hello from me today. I am home ALONE all day and have done a lot of nothing. Started the laundry, cleaned up a little in the sewing room and that's about it.
My neighbor, who has his own construction business came down to measure my ceiling in the downstairs family room---it's suspended ceiling that now has fallen down... and while we were at it I found a few other things that need repair around here that he can do. In a week or so he'll give me an estimate of all the repair and we'll see how that goes! May have to do things in stages as I'm sure getting everything done all at once will cost a fortune. This summer, he'll probably do some deck repair for me too. Boy do I need to win the lottery! We ended up talking for a few hours, sort of catching up.. haven't seen any of the neighbors for so long, with winter, no body is out much! His wife sews a bit too and he invited me down to their house on Saturday to see some of the remodel they are doing, and to meet his wife... I think I may find a new sewing buddy!
Other than that, not much news from here. It's still aweful cold and I'm glad I don't have to go any further than the mail box today.
So many of you chatty today, wish I could stay and catch up with you all. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Am heading back to the sewing room to see what kind of trouble I can get into there...
Wishing you all a most wonderful day

Cindyg - I'm praying for both of you. How awful to have to wait until Monday.
Vicky - I'm glad they have a treatment plan for you.
Karlene - I make DH a German chocolate cake for his bday - they are so yummy! I laughed at your double bankrupt ism story.

Cindy--ASAP doesn't jive with Monday; ASAP is now, today. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers as you wait this out! HUGS!!!
Irish--What I watched was last night's show, and I taped tonight's to watch tomorrow. Some judges always pick the poodles. I think they are much more handsome/pretty when they have a "normal" cut, not that show cut. That white standard did look like it could take off a hand. It did not look happy. There were several I really liked. Tonight will be hunting (Tinker Bell's loose relatives) and terriers (Odie's loose relation). Neither of my dogs is purebred. I have done the same thing with the coffee maker...
MaryQ--I hope you have a sewing buddy close by! Also hope he gives you a discount on the cost--just not the quality!
Tina--You and Chriss with your CPAP machines made me laugh. They are wonderful inventions! My late DH got his, and I got my first sleep in years! I had tried ear plugs, music in ear buds, ocean waves in my ear buds, pillows over my head... his apnea was the worst the sleep clinic had seen. I know the machines save your life, but they sure saved mine and probably my marriage. I'm always surprised at the time passage when I get on my computer.

Vicky, wash, wash, wash your hands. Those around you need to have extra careful hand hygiene as well. In a nursing home or hospital you would be placed on contact precautions.

Quick note for Cindyg - ASAP means very very fast to me not Monday. Don't understand waiting until Monday. Prayers for your DH that this gets taken care of very quickly.

Tina I am doing 4 quilts called Winter Wishes by Lynda Howell...each quilt has 14 applique blocks. Similar to the quilt you are doing now...She wrote that one too.
Well I got the shopping done and finished packing up all the sewing projects I am taking...and got most of my close together, bought Ken some more Unders so I don't have to wash as often. and the pile in the dining room grows. I also bought some valentine goodies for the kiddies.
Since there is massive ice storms down south we are postponing another day and not leaving till saturday. hopefully all will be clear by then. they are predicting 3/4 of an inch of ice in Atlanta tonight or tomorrow. Praying for warm weather through ther country now....
Chris you may include my address in the list, and just to let you know I have a lot of addresses dating back to 2008
hope you are all having a great night xxxooo

Re: TUESDAY, Febr 11, 2014........Good Morning
Good Evening from the East coast.
I hear about Shirley Temple this morning. I was so sorry that she had passed. I read a book about her several years about. I was surprised on two items. One that my Mom and her were borne on the same day, April 23rd, 1929. Also I was surprised when I hear she had breast cancer. I hear on the radio that she retired from show business at 21.
I can see why this group was suggested to me. There is a lot of support here. There are people with worse problems than me. I will keep everyone in my prayers.
Now for my news. I got news of the MRI this afternoon. I was informed that my brain was normal for a person of my age. I guess that is good, but a funny way to said it. I think it would be better if they just say it was normal.
One good thing, or at least I hope it is. I guess I am trying to say that I hope I am not imagining it. I think I see a little improvement in my sight. I have not had my patch on all day. Yes, I have double vision, but short periods of it. I got to work on my computer at work for a short period of time with both eyes. I read a few papers in a book. I try to rest after doing any of these things.
I had to laugh when I hear bout the coffee pot going off at 12 am. My Daughter would have love to been there. She love coffee when she is grading papers and it is a nightcap for her. She stays up to 2am to grade papers. Most people drink it in the morning to wake up, but believe or not, it helps her sleep better.
I have not learned all your names yet, but I would love to hear about the Christmas quilt someone is working on. Pictures would be great.
Winter is the best time for me to sew, but not this year. I guess I have to sew though someone else.
Well, must go for now.
Linda W
